I have seen him race before (although not consciously aware of him per se).

A very tragic moment. He will be missed. RIP.

This is very sad news.
To Chris and all who knew him well, my deepest condolences.

It is a sad and harsh reality of how fragile our lives really are. In a split second, so much can happen that will change the lives of those around us forever. A talented racer - a tragic loss for the racing community.

last week i was searching through the member list here to see roughly how many 550s were on the board.

i'd never met paul, but i came across paul's profile and it made me pause for a minute. very sad.

i was glad to know that he visited here though - i'm sure he found us amusing :-). he only posted once - in this thread. he sounded like a fun guy.

there's a nice writeup about paul on nsx files.

RIP

doody.

I didn't know him, but did watch him race. Sorry for the loss Chris.

There were a couple threads on here somewhere, you might do a search if you want to read.

Also, hijack, but check out this KC thread, I know you'll have some info to add...

I do not know if this has been posted as I have been gone for 10 days, but it is with deep regret that I must inform you that my good friend Paul Mumford was killed in a plane crash.

Paul owned a Ferrari, a 550 Marenello, a new Porsche Turbo and was an incredible race car driver.

Paul and I have been good friends for the last few years and drove my F40 at Buttonwillow last year.

Others on this site knew him better, but none of them had more respect for him than I.

I will miss him.

Chris Parr
