Well Guys, Jason, Mark - thanks for passing that on :0) comission at the agred rate then ..;0). Tony and Manu, Im still waiting to hear from them, I popped in there today ..and in Scuderia with the Wife...Manu you were not in?????next time mate :0), and I was in my lovely pressed suit as was my Wife, we were greeted at the door as we had been admiring the Cars on the front...I luv that Bluey Silver Colour on the 360 Spider..anyhow they couldnt do enuff for us, Coffee ,Tea and how are we today.... Well I told them my Wife was busting for the toilet and could she use them...Ha ha the look on the faces, of coarse I went on to say I owned a 360 from them and the whole attitude changed, Like Oh hes got a car, not wanting to buy another... Its not what one would expect. I then Further complained about my BATTERY and asked if they would like to see the size of my by now huge Calfs where id been pushing my car, they really couldnt give a toss..its sold move on to the next one. Thanks for the advice guys, ill visit to see if they are more helpful.. A last note tho, on Friday before me and one of my Sales Guys waited up at Egham while Manu fitted my exhaust...Sounds Great Manu...we went in Ferrari showroom and was not greeted the same way as today... Manu I hear what you say ,but those guys need to sort it quick cos anybody spending hard earned cash on a Ferrari no matter what the price deserves a good service through out ..ie THE SALE and the AFTER SERVICE each process must go hand in hand to be credible.. ......amen ! The End. |

I have good things to report about Maranellos. I bought a 328GTS off them in 1998, and yesterday bought a '99 355GTS (yipp-eeee!) from them. I have always been treated very courteously and offered a test drive, and they work hard to put a deal together, even trying to find a buyer for a boat I was looking to sell. They also seem very happy for enthusiasts to just look around without bothering them and making them feel self conscious. I can't vouch for the service centre though as I use a specialist, but I would happily recommend the Sales side to anyone. |

A lot of things have changed at Maranellos recently - it must have been an organisational nightmare - new service facility, new showroom, *new staff* etc... and then this fire. They're STILL changing things there. I'm sure part of the confusion/difficulties in service have been a result of this upheaval. It's effectively a NEW company so I would be inclined to give them another chance if you feel you haven't been treated "properly" before. Either way though - give Drew/Markus a call and I'll stick my neck out and say that you WILL be looked after properly. Everyone has now recognised that there is no longer a "typical" Ferrari buyer. Some of my own most prolific customers are teenagers (!) who show up in jogging bottoms and trainers.... Times have changed - any sensible Ferrari dealer is likely to be more "accomodating" these days. |

Manu I have always found the sales folks to be extremely arrogant. They really do make you feel like they are doing you a favour talking to you.

Manu I'm still waiting for a call from the sales side 15 months on after going to talk to them about a 355 they were advertising, I arrived smartly dressed and in my 355 although that shouldn;t make a difference. First they couldn't find the car, then they couldn't find the keys, They then told me there was a problem and it wouldn't start even if they could find the keys. Would I buy from them even if they had the right car,? absolutely not!

manu, sorry mate, i don't agree.i found the sales team to be very unhelpful . i was left to walk the floor for a good 5 minutes before being asked if needed help.there's an old saying;" never judge a book by it's cover" . maranello lost a sale because they assumed someone in jeans and trainers wasn't serious about buying one of their cars. tony |

Guys. I am not in a position to comment on previous service from Maranello Sales because I wouldn't know ..... ...but TODAY the sales side at Maranellos are a really nice bunch of guys. Drew and Markus in particular are top guys and give the customer genuine no-nonsense advice even if it means that they don't sell a car. Right price, right car and I would definitely buy a Ferrari from them - because I trust them. Also bear in mind that salesmen are in no way responsible for the issues that you may have with your car AFTER you've bought it. That is the aftersales side - Often when this doesn't work out properly the sales guys get flak that they may not necessarily deserve. |

joe, as per our conversation saturday, i can recommend meridien modena too.my car was purchased from them and they carried out 2 services for me.my last service was done by graypaul who also fitted a tubi at the same time. i wasn't as impressed with them, tho' everyone i spoke to on sat. only had good things to say about them...maybe they had an off -day.?? as far as maranello's go, unless you go into their dealership with your sunday best clothes on, you won't get the time of day from them. i popped over to them while waiting to pick up my car from scuderia systems in jeans and trainers and got looked at like i was something on the bottom of the salesman's shoe! big mistake seeing as these guys earn their living from commission on cars they sell; that's right, it's a service industry they're employed in and they're sending out all the wrong signals..... i wouldn't buy a car from them unless i absoultly had to.sorry about the rant! tony |

Joe, Definitely agree with Mark.....Lee at Meridien is an absolute gentleman...They also have a transporter to pick up your car. If you get a chance visit the dealership....it's one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Unfortunately, Maranello have a horrible reputation. |

Joe Paul Ennis at Graypaul Loughborough is brilliant or you could also talk to Lee at Meridien Modena also very good. Maranello are hopeless and arrogant, least that's my experience btw just put some Caterham owners in touch with your flooring product and will be looking to do mine soon as well! |

Id be interested to know if anyone has been given a good service from a UK Ferrari Dealership, I can only speak from my own experience and Im not at all impressed, I recieved a better service from Mercedes-Benz :0(. For instance I visited F-Uk Service center recently to express my disapointment that a Flat Battery problem still persists on my 2002 360, already been back twice without the offer of a courtesy car, the guy says (wont say his name) sorry Sir we cannot fit you in untill 24th Nov 2003 as we have had fire in workshops. Ok i said I will continue to push start my car as im just getting the hang of parking it on a hill to ensure I can get it going....... What a Service... Bought my wife some good trainers so she feels part in the Ferrari Starting Experience. |
