A-P,

which one is it exactly?

I know of at least three different ones for the 125.

Can you email me pics?

Jack
lets not forget AAC's first car was a modified Fiat and Lambo's a modified fiat!!!!

by the way have located an original 1947/8 125 brochure, but its got holes punched in it (it's in with a load of stuff from an estate sale) any idea if its something to be kept or sold? (without out holes its worth a 30k service!)

Hey... it HAS 4 wheels and it DOES say "Scuderia Ferrari" on it!

Does that count?

TG that is by FAR not as humble a beginning as putting wheels on something that actually moves...

>I love modern Lambo's--Murc & Gallardo. Not a huge fan of Diablo's,

Murc & Gallardo - ok
Diablo - rather unattractive

>although my friend Luigi's gorgeous blue one (without Bling)
>in Houston has made me rethink that. Never cared for the Countach at all.
>LOVE the Muira and some of the old 3500GT's & 5000GT's.

miura - rather unattractive
countach _lp4000_ - simply.delicious

>old 3500GT's & 5000GT's.

The 3500GT's & 5000GT's are Maserati's (lovely).
You may have been thinking of the Lamborghini 350 and 400GT which are also very nice.

Ellen - such a beauty, isn't she!

There's a guy here in SoCal named Jeff Zucker, who is in the process of building a 400hp turboed X 1/9. I think it is weighing in at around 1900lbs.

Would you like me to contact him? I'm sure he'd love to race a tractor...:-)

Perhaps this is why lambo never won any F1 races:
Upload
it
"does not bear any resemblence to any winning F1 car"
But back to the statement:
Actually, the whole back end of an F355/F348 bears remarkable resemblance to any mid 1970's F1 race cars. From the engine size, RPM band, Valvetrain layout, suspension geometry, brake technology. It took Ferrari 20 years to engineer it to the point where it was appropriate for street cars with emissions control and 100,000 mile driving lifetime (minimum).

Sounds like a confession! It's good you finally had the courage to come clean, Ellen.

Now, the next step is to learn that, if you were TRULY solid in your beliefs & convictions about that fine tractor company, you would not need tp post nearly so many messages attacking Ferraris.

Now would you?

Methinks thou doth protesteth WAY too much, by half!

Well, Rubens seems to be doing pretty well...
I'll bet another high quality pilot will come on board after MS retires. Part of future success will also depend on keeping the rest of the team together. They seem to work pretty well as a group.

I also like the current Lambos, they are art. But I think that if you have "Enzo Who" on your Viper's license plate, you acknowledge who represents the gold standard in performance. It seems a bit defensive. The Viper is a terrific machine, why apologize?

Hubert, if it makes you feel better to spend mega money on non-performing streetcars that share nothing in common with F1 cars, but be able to say the manufacturer won F1, then so be it.

Doesnt mean anything to me. That would be like running out to buy a ford, chevy or dodge because they won Nascar.

But i understand, you have to be able to say SOMETHING good about modern F-cars, since they are underperforming, uninspired streetcars!

Lambo (NOT Lamborghini!) competed in 6 Grand Prix... (using Lamborghini engines) The cars were entered by Modena Team SpA.

Lamborghini engines competed in 80 GP's.

Ferrari does NOT have F1 racers from the pre-WW1 or even pre-WW2 era... Ferrari started in 1947 and F1 itself didn't start until 1950...

If you talk to Gerard Larousse, he can probably sell you the so desired Lamborghini engines as he should still have a bunch of them tucked away somewhere.

Allan to whom do I inquire about getting a championship winning Lambo F1 car -- or even a campaigned Lambo F1 car? I've seen about 2 Diablo GTR racers for sale, but they're already sold.
Seems like the Ferrari factory has got F1 racers , but holds onto the winning cars, and is keeping the '99, '00, '01, '02 and '03 chassis'.
Would Lambo/AUDI/VW be willing to sell me a spare F1 champioship contender?
TIA.

Check out the game over at the Lamborghini site.

The Lamboghini Calender is also rather interesting:

quote:

"SILVER BEAUTY"
Given the appreciation shown for the charming female presence depicted in this year's calendar, we have decided to return to the same motive for our 2002 edition, in which the beauty of a splendid model is complemented by the silver of our tractors. The result, guaranteed by the artistic skills of the maestro of the nude Franco Fontana, are clearly high class and elegantly captivating.

Joe, I think it's mor efun joshing than any real animosity.

At least it is for me. I love modern Lambo's--Murc & Gallardo. Not a huge fan of Diablo's, although my friend Luigi's gorgeous blue one (without Bling) in Houston has made me rethink that. Never cared for the Countach at all. LOVE the Muira and some of the old 3500GT's & 5000GT's.

Ellen, good point. I do not drive with that tag in my car. But it's nice to know that my car is infused with technology and know-how gained from winning a whole lot of world championships. Could Ferrari do it w/o MS? Probably not...but who knows? Could any winning team win without good drivers? Unlikely, too. It is the combination which makes championships, IMO. The car makes the driver great, and the driver makes the car great.

And so far, a certain maker of fine tractors hasn't ever drunk from that chalice...

:-)

Will, Jaime, BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Will, dream on. Maybe you could steal one from a Ferrari in a showroom somewhere, and super-glue it on to the dashboard of the Lambo? 'Cause that's the ONLY way such a label will ever get there...

Ellen, I am disappointed at your feeble come-back. Not up to your usual standards... As for how you arrange your models...well, it is your own private dream world, after all.

Dave, i already told you what the graphics were for.

Dave driving with passanger trying to impress "watch this" as he flys through the gears. Out of the blue, something flys past, "What the hell was that" the passanger screams. Dave says "Oh just a Tractor Sv with gaudy sidegraphics" "Wow, made your car seem like a TURD" remarks unimpressed passenger. At the next light, Daves lady friend asks Diablo driver for his phone number. Diablo driver politely declines, as garish 50 year olds need not apply.

Uh, OK, Ellen. Whatever you say.

Those gaudy graphics on your Diablo add at least 40 hp, don't they?

"Supra" is taken, and you can't have a "/" in Texas, so I guess we're both SOL...

Rob, the owner of 4RE ETR is Jay Lopez; he lives in Dallas or Plano or something. Nice guy. I know him since we both instruct for PCA & Drivers Edge. He is actually a pretty good track driver...but I am not surprised that a Viper does not make a particularly good autocross car...

Somewhat clever, but talk about apples and oranges! :-) I assume Heffner is like Hennessey or the like?

What is the yellow car to the left? Looks kind of interesting.

Good one, Ellen.

Have you applied for "TRACTOR" in Hawaii or Arizona yet?

LOL, there was a Viper at an autocross once that had "4RE ETR". I beat him in my 190 HP BMW 325is.

Allan, do you know anything about this car? Says Heffner 1000?
