What about the GTO model cars from Bburago, Scalectrix and other in rally trim? Are they based on real cars? Like the (handsome) 7-up car?

Hi, Bill, Would you take a minute to explain why the Michelotto GT/Ms are not just modified 308 GTBs? I think it's too easy to get this impression from photos. (Remember the hub/caliper-matching episode?)

Thanks, Bill, I thought so. Sorry for my poorly-proof-read post. Um, regarding those "attentive" ladies,
By the way, we ALMOST met 2 years ago. I had emailed you in early Sept. 2001, just prior to when my wife & I were to drive out from Austin to Aviara in our 550. We had arranged to meet on Tuesday morning, 9/11/01, the day after my 40th birthday. Needless to say, events on the east coast overwhelmed everybody. After watching TV all morning & getting sick & sad & overloaded, we decided to get in the car & go for a drive to clear our heads, as we knew a bunch of people in the WTC who were obviously dead. I ended up grabbing the print out of the email you sent me with directions to your La Jolla store, and drove there. Respectfully, you guys had already closed up in mourning. Sorry we never made it back... Maybe another time. Best, Dave |

Photo was taken in July at Mt. Tremblant. What a place. Never has one man been so spoiled by so many beautiful kind and attentive ladies. Everyone needs to learn some French and visit this part of the world once. Vous parle en Francais ? |

Awesome Bill - thanks. I have never seen a Ferrari in Gulf colours - only the famous LeMans Porsches. |

Hi guys, I will try to upload a photo of my car. This is the last of eleven FIA Group 4 308 GTB/M cars ordered new through Ferrari Client Services and built by Michelotto. I am the third owner of this car, chassis number 21883. I have raced it for three years here in the States as well as in Europe. I won the Ferrari Challenge Series Championship with this car this year. Ciao! Bill Noon |

Well, not exactly like the Entremont car, but here's Bburago's 1/24th interpretation of a Rally 308:
Bruce, your information is INCORRECT, Dr. Wolinski has a plain-Jane 'Glass 308 GTB, not a competition car... |

And then of course there is the 288 GTO which could have been the Evo of the 308 and run in the "KILLER" Bs. If the Bs didn't get banned after the 1986 season. Here's a link to that little story. Group B rally cars - Ferrari Address:http://www.stormloader.com/groupb/ferrari.html Quite possible the only reason they got made in the first place. Because of the homologation for Group B of 200 cars. |

Jordan , those 308 have won some rallies back in the 70s/80s and some national championship ( i think they won the Italian champ in the80's .. ). They also won the Tour de France in the 80's. |

I think it looks better with the light rack on! You could use 'em for camping and late night fishing trips! Thanks for the photos, that's the on Burago made a kit of, at 1/24. |

I'm trying to find a photo of one for a friend at work, I believe that it was a 1976 308 GTB. Anyone have an idea of where to find it with the specs? Thanks |
