I unfortunately don't have a garage but I park my car right next to my bedroom window and my bed is right by the window so my car is literally 10 feet away from me. If I wake in the middle of the night I just look over and there she is. She is also the first thing I see in the morning. I'm glad you guys understand!

How many people would believe a 308 was drawn up in 1974? I mean it doesn't look 1974 at all.

A few of us were talking about this on the UK drive out we had on Sunday. It still amazes me how one can look at a Ferrari after so long and be still inspired by the lines and curves of the car. Stand at a different angle and the whole prospective changes. How does a 246 Dino still captivate me although I have seen it a thousand times? I think its because you never really look at the car in the same place twice. This 360 degrees prospective that you are allowed to have when viewing the car in real life just proves the point that when I first saw the 360 in a magazine I was not that impressed In real life what a different story!!

Back in a min just got to nip out to the garage! :-)

How about when you park it out in public? I have, on more then one occasion, parked and looked back over my shoulder while walking away. Or how about asking for a window seat in a restaurant? Not to watch out for it but to look at it. I have.

Retort - cars are like girls (they are).
It is a great indicator in any case that one can love something more than the self.

i to used to pass the Ferrari of Honolulu dealership on my way to my grandmother's house and just stare at whatever F-car was sitting there. infact i would go out of my way sometimes just to pass by the shop.

there was one time when my mom was looking at buying an MB and the salesperson took us in the back to where they had the car she wanted. they actually had 4 F-cars sitting there, 2 355s, a 360 and a 456. i stopped dead in my tracks and just admired the cars until they were done. the salesperson had actually stopped us earlier to show off their Ferraris and was about to name them for when i cut him off and did it for him, he was quite impressed. i was 15 at the time.

Hey, if I had a Ferrari in my garage I'd be gawking at it every chance I could. In the meantime I'll have to settle for the giant poster of the GTO on my wall.

Ever had this one?...When you and the girl friend or wife are having dinner or whatever, and not much conversation is going on...and she asks "what are you thinking?" She is expecting somthing along the lines of her and the relationship, when really all your thinking about is how you can "escape" for a drive in the Ferrari!! I made the mistake of telling her I was just thinking about cars, and she lost it!! Needless to say I keep thoses thoughts to myself now.

You are lucky people indeed..I do not have a garage attached to my house, so have had to rent one about a mile away..Have to live with pics in between times - my new favourite website is http://www.rawlink.net/ferrari where a good friend posted a load of images.

But when that garage door goes up and the red felt cover comes off, it's a buzz.

We are all officially sad, but happy people!

I was talking to a friend of mine, and I was telling him what a car nut I was. And that after I was done washing and waxing my car that I would just sit and look at it. He invited me over to his garage, which I had never been, and there sat two lawn chairs, a six pack, and some of the most beautiful cars that I have ever seen in person. I had no idea that he had cars like that.

I guess its like checking on a child before bed, I open the garage door turn on the light just to make sure shes secure. As for just looking for minutes on end I do it all the time. Ill sit on the motorcycle and stare and try to decide which angle is my favorite. They all are! Im glad Im not the only one who does this.

Part of my house used to be a dentists office. No more!! The wall is coming down and the garage is "moving in" I will be adding to my garage an additional 12ft by 30ft. Then it will be garage, plus den plus hang out room and I will be spending more time just looking.

I do that all the time. Sometimes, after a detail, I will just poke my head in the garage and flip on the lights jsut for aminute. It's like I need a fix or something.

It's a good thing I don't have a bigger garage though, because I would definatly spend more time just wandering around in there, beer in hand, just staring at the lines of the cars.

God I love cars.

I do the same thing from time to time,if I had my way the garage would be attached to the house and no wall seperating the garage from living room. Maybe I can just move the bedroom into the garage for now until then. :-)

I would do just that...if not I don't have a garage, and no F-car too :D
But I do sometimes look at my Lancia when it's parked between all the other cars and think: 'you're by far the nicest looking car' :D

When my girlfriend was an undergrad at Villanova, I used to go to Algar Ferrari every trip out there and just "look." I wish I could now, but I'm afraid they'll think I'm casing the joint. My outlet for Ferrari oogling is gone!

You know, you might be onto something here.

I've been extremely impressed with the performance and handling of the new Mitso EVO. For sheer performance, it doesn't give much of anything away to the 328. (The EVO's turbo lag gives the 328 the edge at the h&t limits.)

But I've never once nipped down to the garage to look at the Mitsubishi.

The Ferrari -- I lost count of the number of times in the first six months alone.

Guilty as charged, especially after a couple hour detailing session.

When I get an exotic, someday, the garage will be the living room/office/fun room.

Jordan, just make sure those several hundred pictures you have on your hard drive are of cars earlier than 1986.

Oh dont worry about them. I will do the exact same thing when I get mine! Ferraris are art in myself, and there is no reason you cant look at beautiful art :-)

I spend a good portion of my day looking at pictures of my favorite Ferraris. Ive got several hundred pictures on my hard drive... could stare at them for hours...and I do!

I made the mistake of admitting to a couple of non-car people at work that I have- more than once- sat in the garage and just looked at my car. Didn't drive it. Just looked. After a while, I went back in the house, happy. They thought I needed a mental health professional. I think a Ferrari is therapy.
