Neal,
I agree that the rims make this particular car what it is; I wish my paint looked as good as Greg's '84 does 3 photo's down. These rims would look fantastic on a 348, but, they came with my car when I bought it and unfortunately I have no idea what brand they are. I have asked around but no one seems to know. Perhaps someone here can identify these rims.

Will H, I'm just curious about the corvette. How long have you had it and did you do the changes to the louvers behind the front wheels? I can tell it's a 68 from the door lock but I've never seen a 68/69 converted to the 70-on louvers. I'm not trying to be critical or demeaning in any way... the car looks great and I'm sure it's a wild ride... I'm just curious.

Ohh man! Miura is my favorite Lamborghini. Congrats.

Brian, I like the top two for a sales photo. Just top one if you can only use one. I wouldn't use the track pic for sales as for some reason that scares buyers off. I'm the opposite, a Ferrari ran like it was supposed to is a healthy Ferrari.

Santini, great early TR4! I learned to drive a stick in my brother's BRG TR4A IRS (he also owned a TR3 for a year). And TR's don't exactly have VW-type sponge clutches! Ended up owning a TR6 for 11 years which I completely restored... sold it to make room for my 328!

I havenet weighed the stock wheels V Kinesis but from carrying them around the tracks & rolling them around I'd much rather have to roll or lift a Kinesis wheel.

Next stage on the 512 racer is a full race transmission with hardened internals & titanium shafts, a motec ignition system & a digital computerized dash, maybe a dash in the steering wheel :-)

Wow Will 50%? that's unreal, have you actually weighed the stock vs the Kinesis? I can see a $100k from what it was but $200k, what's the next stage? it has to be something brutal. Unfortunately I am not near at that spending range or able to afford to take a chance on destroying a car of that value, but it's good you are really into the sport. I still have to wait for more money and time to get me there. Hope you don't get into any bad crashes.

Modman the kinesis wheels weigh less than 50% of stock I believe, great for the track & you can paint the centers any color, I'm getting another set in black for the car.

I bought the hulk for $40k & Ive dropped over $100k bringing her back. I'm sure by the time she is really fully developed it will be $200k easily but I love the car so no worries :-)

Glen, nice Vette, cant wait to see the C6, Ive heard its very Ferrari

Hey William the "silver bullet" looks a lot better than what it used to look like. How much did you have to put into it for the conversion? This is what I had in mind to do is to find a used one and set it up for track only. Are you using Kenises "not sure on the spelling" wheels? how much do they weigh "rim only" Ft & Back?

Since I don't own a Ferrari, I can't post any favorite picture of one. But the most interesting Ferrari photo that I remember was the one of a 250GTO sitting in the weeds somewhere in Ohio, Texas, or wherever back in the 60s. Anybody can take a photograph of a restored car at a show, but how many people have ever photographed such a valuable car back when it was one phone call away from a junk yard?

Bryan, my friend is Clemar Bucci from Buenos Aires , Argentina. It was bizzare how we met. I was living in SF & had just come up from the Moneterey Historics in my COuntach, I was down near the wharf & he drives up in a rental car asking about the Countach in spanish, Good thing i speak fluent spanish :-)

He has a Countach in BA also. He's a very nice guy. Road & Track mentioned him back around 91 when they had the Viper prototype on their cover. They had an article about a 1960something Cisitalia and they wrote that Bucci tested it down in BA.

Mr Bucci used to drive F1 & he was friends with Prince Behra & Fangio of course

William - re: your question about my dad's 500 Mondial; he bought it in 1960, rebuilt it and raced it until it was just too uncompetitive (drum brakes and all). He still owns it 43 years later. For a more in-depth story on my dad and his car, see the May 2002 Forza (#37) article called 'La Bella e La Bestia."

Since we keep track of the racing histories of the 4 cylinder racing Ferraris (including the 750 Monzas), who is your friend that raced them in the 50s? We always like to pick the memories of people who had personal knowledge of cars and events to plug Ferrari history mysteries. Email me privately if you like.

thanks,
Bryan
