I'll chime in here........Sean and his whole crew at Harris Imports is at the top of their game when it comes to "CUSTOMER" service.........a word that has been lost from some "other" F dealers vocabulary!.......To all looking for an automobile, if Sean doesn't have it right now, be a little patient and let him find it for you...........He truley will take care of you.....at point of sale and afterwards.

Dr. Shelbee,

You know that a lot of NWRFCA members would love to see a "Sean" Harris Imports store in Seattle. Kuzi would go nuts, he'd love it!

Forgot to ask you Sean,

Would you be interested to open "SEAN" HARRIS IMPORTS in Seattle as an authorized Ferrari dealership ????

Or just move your dealership to Pacific Northwest area??

Marty, YES I'm very excited...feel like a little kid on Xmas eve not being able to sleep, waiting for Santa to bring the toys. I know you won't have any problem keeping up with me in your 500+ horsepower 575! I'll be the one trying to catch you!

DES, no it's not a stock exhaust. It was custom designed and made by V12 Engineering in Gilroy, CA. This is a shop owned by Al Burtoni. He is very well known in L**** circles. The shop mostly does high end work for L cars and sells them also. Here is a link. I am going to pay them a visit sometime soon.
http://www.alburtoni.com

It is much smaller than a Tubi and puts about 30 extra HP to the wheel than the standard exhaust. If you click on the button for V12 Engineering at the link above you can see pictures of similar exhausts for Diablos and Countachs. Mine looks very similar. The sound is incredible. Byron is going to host a link to the sound of the exhaust going through a tunnel last Sunday. When it is available I will post a link here so you can hear it.

I hope you get out here again soon. BTW I am going to be in NYC from Nov 5-8 on vacation. Maybe we can hook up one night. I will be with my wife and her parents so I will be a little bit constrained though.

Gary, congratulations on your 512. It looks great.

Ok, I'll pile on... The whole crew at Steve Harris Imports last weekend organized, sponsored, and participated in a fantastic drive and lunch (which they do a couple of times a year). They are a great group of people and are highly recommended.

Sean Harris is one of the few great dealers in this country.

Sean I know you read this. Your way of doing business should serve as a model for all dealers. Building up a reputation like yours takes years but the fruits will last a lifetime instead of being sweet just over night.

Ron, is it a stock exhaust or do you have a Tubi on there...? i hope you don't reply to this and that you're out driving... :-)

More praise due to Sean; just "heard" from him the other day; what an awesome person...

Ron,

That's great! As you know, I was interested in the 512TR that you bought, but wasn't quite ready to pull the trigger at the time. Glad to hear that Sean took very good care of you. Everything that I've heard about the dealership from friends in Seattle who have bought cars there, has been VERY positive.

Gary
PS: I sold my 308QV and I have purchased a 1984 512BBi! It will be shipping to me near the end of the month from the east coast. Not a 512TR, but it should still be lots of fun.

I would agree with all of the comments. Unfortunately, Sean didn't have any 355's when I was looking, but we will see what happens when I visit him on Monday! I am going out to drive both a 360 and 550. Hopefully I find the right car at Harris Imports because I believe that Sean and his entire organization are 1st class. I would encourage all of you to visit him if you are in Salt Lake.

guys... Ron's car is beautiful. I had the extremely fortunate opportunity to spend some time behind the wheel of that monster... All I can say is WOW.

As the car slips into first gear and the car begins to roll, its "sleeping giant" nature says... "open me up" - almost to taunt you. Ron asked me to step on it. At first, I was timid about it... being his new 512 and all... but when I put it into second and accelerated, that's when tunnel vision began to ensue. The sound of the custom V12 Engineering race exhaust, coupled with the torque on that flat12, put me in mild daze and threw me to the back of my seat.

At one point, while driving down Sunset Blvd, I even turned to Ron and told him that my heart was pounding. The sheer ecstasy of living a childhood dream of driving a Ferrari Testarossa was so overwhelming!!

Ron, I'm so glad Sean Harris @ Harris Imports came through for you. This is a testament to fine customer service. In a tightly knit community as this is, it is important to know who you can trust as a source for good, clean cars. Now I know of at least 2 I may purchase from again in the future.

Thanks again for the drive/ride, Ron. Something I definitely will not forget! :-)

I am also one of the many happy customers of Steve Harris Imports. To this day, I wouldn't forget the superb treatment I got from Sean when I purchased my 328 last December. (Are you getting tired of hearing this?)

Congrats on that fine purchase, Ron. I had my eyes on that beautiful car, too. But I guess it was meant for you ;). Drive safely!

DES, the car is a dream. The acceleration is unreal and the exhaust sound is crazy. I let Byron drive it on Sunday and he loved it also.

Plus it's styling is just so understated.

I have only heard great things about Sean and Steve Harris Imports. A friend purchased two F-cars from them in the last year and puts them in high regards. Can't say it enough that word-of-mouth advertising is by far the most effective.

I have heard similar scenarios about Sean's way of doing biz...I really wish he had the car I am looking for because I sincerely want to give him the business.

Great refreshing story Ron.

Ron, that's great news, congratulations...! How's the car...? How can you even sleep with a TR in the garage...?

i've never purchased anything from Steve or Sean - hell, i've never even spoken to Steve, but Sean is one stand-up guy.

I have held off writing this because I wanted to make sure everything was complete and the dust had settled before posting here.

I want to let everyone know that Sean Harris and Steve Harris Imports in Salt Lake City stand behind the cars they sell and I highly recommend them.

When I purchased a 512TR from Sean in August we knew there were issues with the air conditioner. One of the oral terms of the deal was that he would fix the problem. The Freon was leaking out and after a week or so the a/c would not work. There was nothing in writing about this, just his word.

After the purchase the car stayed there for the 30k engine out service with a water pump rebuild. During that time the a/c was to be repaired. Im not sure exactly what happened but the a/c system was not actually repaired. When the car was delivered to me in Southern California on September 1st the same problem persisted.

Unfortunately for Sean, the car was no longer close to his shop. No doubt this increased his cost by quite a bit but he did stand behind the car and he paid for the repair. He supplied the parts but had to pay retail for the labor. The total for this work and a small ding repair was over $4,000 not including the parts. The reimbursement check arrived promptly just as Sean said it would.

I want to thank Sean and everyone at Steve Harris Imports for making this purchase a very pleasant and satisfying experience. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. :-)
