Jay:

Yes the same seatbelt recall applies to the M. The brakes are different from the 512TR as well. I believe the early 512TRS (1992AND 1993) used non Brembo brakes whereas the 1994 switched to ABS which may be Brembo, I'm not sure. The M brakes are Brembo ABS from what I understand.

Curious, does anyone know if the 512M had the same seatbelt recall issue as the TR? Also, does the 512M have upgrades brakes from the 512TR?

Thanks

I offered 117 bank wire on the Sheehan car and the owner didn't even answer Sheehans emails or phone calls.

I agree that the first thing I thought of when I read the copy was that there was sleaze there. By saying "no visible evidence of..." and "does not appear..." seems like a way of side stepping saying "it had a minor fender bender, but has been fixed up by the right people and now you can't tell". At the bottom left it says modified from the factory... it just reads to me like someone trying to weasel their way around something. Looks very nice though.

Yes, it "appears to be" a nice car. But, here's what puzzles me about ads like this one. On the one hand, you have statements like no "apparent" damage, odo "does not appear" to have been rolled back and "apparently" garaged. At the same time, in the comments column, the Seller baldly states that the car has "never seen rain." I wonder if the seller will guarantee the "no rain" claim, if nothing else. The ad copy alone justifies a price reduction.

A 15K MAJOR WOULD COST ABOUT 6K, ADD A CLUTCH, SOME MORE LABOR, AND SOME ODD-ENDS FIGURE 8500.00

CAR WAS GOING FOR 160-165K ONLY A YEAR AGO

A FEEL A GOOD PRICE WOULD BE FOR $125-130K, WITH NO SERVICE.TAKE IT FOR UNDER 130K

Hey, there are certain Ferrari's that i love, and this is one of them. If Ferrari continued to produce cars in this tradition, we wouldnt have many of the conversations we've had.

One of these, and a yellow F40 and i'd be in heaven!( Would also have to have my Diablo and Murcielago)

Yes the car is beautiful! BUT, I have never liked the 'M's' rims. Something about that spiral look could never grow on me. Put a set of TR wheels on it, and I'd call it perfect.

With the way Ferrari prices are falling, I would think even $130k is high for a 512M. 512TR's seem to be well under $100k these days, so what is the "premium" for a "M"? $15K? $20k? So say $120k, then subtract the $8 for the major and you are at $112k. Man it's easy to speculate when you are neither the buyer or seller... :-)

I would swap out the wheels for some speedlines and that would be perfect. Love the yellow and the flush headlights.

$160K would be a low mileage car. This car has 21000 miles which is negligeable but a lot in the Ferrari world :-)

I talked to the guy selling it. Its on consignment from a doctor in Boca raton, FL. Asking $139,000. 21,000 miles but no 15k service done. I think they want $130,000. Is this price right? I thought this car was worth closer to $160k.
