Pete says:
> yes indeed it was under to hood. Rosso Fiorano.

then he says:
> ok my 355 is Russo Monza according to the tag under the engine lid.

Dude! What is it?

Trivia,

Rosso Barchetta was the original "Ferrari Red". That was back in the days of lead based paint and Barchetta was the brightest they could get red to be. As lead was removed from paints, red was able to become brighter and evolved into what people now believe is "Ferrari Red". Look back over any of the older classic red Ferraris like the 212 and you will see it was much darker than what we see on production cars today unless they are ordered in Rosso Barchetta.

sure do love that 360 coupe in the same color as my 355 spider. It would look great next to the spider. I need a new track car my 1982 930 turbo is getting to the point of vintage track days only.

Coachi, I think we have the same car :-)

I've had it for about 3 months and 3000 miles, and one speeding ticket (I couldn't help racing a motorcycle, oops, but I was winning!).

Next month, I will get it to the track. I can't wait. Upload

Hi, thought you might be interested in seeing the two ferrari colors next to one another. My 550 was sold under the label "Barchetta Red" (after the color used on the 550 barchetta, I guess). You can see the difference between the standard red.Upload

I think the 355 Spider is Rosso Monza. Rosso Fiorano came out with the 360 series.

While we're on the subject, another pretty Rosso Fiorano shot. (This is from eBay, and I think this car was purchased by an f-chatter).

Open the rear end, look at the label underneath. It will tell you what color it is.
