Hey Alan,

Congrats on the new F-car! Here's how your top works. As you stated make sure your seats are forward first. Second, unlatch the handle at the front. At this point move the handle behind the driver's seat to its middle position. Push the front of the convertible top back until it meets the back window. Now push the handle behind the driver's seat all the way down. You may have to do some adjustments to the canvas to make it lay just right before you put the boot on. Also make sure your window rolls nicely and tuck it down as well. Another tip - when putting the boot on it is easiest if you start with the snaps that are inside of the back side.

I finally did it, I bought my first Ferrari, a red/tan 348 Spider! All the details and photos to come, but first, I can't figure out how to lower the top and the manual is missing. After I unlatch the header and fold the seats forward, I move the handle behind the driver's seat, but when the handle has completely moved, the top has only moved about 3/4 of the way down. I can't figure out how to get it the rest of the way down. Can one of you experienced owners fill me in on the correct procedure. All help is appreciated because it's going to be great weather this weekend.

Thanks,

Alan
