Here's a shot of my 1983 QV that I just sold. I'm buying a 512BBi and it will be shipping to me soon!

Randall,

Hey, someone stole my engine! Ok, just the picture :-)

BTW, she looks a tad bit BETTER now after the 60k major about a week ago :-)

Enjoy the Drive,

Steven R. Rochlin

I did notice the braided steel lines. It is a nice looking job.Personally, I like to keep stock.

Norm: The previous owner of Steven Rochlin's car, Jeff Edison, did that customization with the red highlights and also changing all the hoses to stainless steel braided (shown on the photo Randall posted).

On the picture Doug has posted, someone appears to have sprayed the valve covers with a black krinkle on the valve covers. On the picture of the engine compartment that you posted, it is missing the (4)wire retaining plastic clip on the end of the valve covers.I'll go out on a limb Martin and say the wires on your car are not properly routed. Picture Randy has posted with red stripes on motor mount brace, and red on "Ferrari" I have never seen before on an original QV motor. Has anyone else seen this on an original motor?

Interesting how different the head covers are and the way the wires run.

This is the pic I use as a goal point, it's stolen from the profile of Mr. Rochlin:

Hope there's no problem with me reposting it.

Does anyone happen to have a picture of a really clean engine bay for a 308i/QV? If so, would you mind posting a picture. Thanks.

Ken
