Wow, that explains everything.... Mattel made parts for the M16 rifle during the Vietnam war, so If I put two and two together, that means that Ferrari is now owned by "The Man". |

Yes, they were purchased by Mattel and are now a part of the "Hot Wheels" division of the company. This will allow for new and exciting designs in the near future.

Ferrari is owned by Fiat and has been since Enzo himself sold it. General Motors has an interest but I am sure they are hoping that the deal they have to purchase Fiat and thereby gain Ferrari will not be forced. Fiat is in terrible financial shape and is having to draw off some of the profits of Ferrari to help maintain solvency. Fiat sold off some interests to a consortium of banks a couple of years ago but still maintains controlling interest. There is a possibility that Ferrari could go public in the future but that is still up in the air. |

I don't know what I've heard is correct or not, but I've heard that Ferrari was bought up by one of the American car companies during that time when all those other European car companies were being bought up. I know Ferrari owns Maserati now. Does anyone know about the state of the Ferrari company? |
