A couple of soft travel bags (like http://www.ferraristuff.com/index.html?target=p_1164.html) will fill up the trunk nicely without spending $3000 on "fitted luggage". If your 328 has a full size spare, you might look to pick up one of the "narrow spare" wheel/tire units that occasionally become available on eBay.

Thanks for the crash info, it make good sense when you actually look at it. Guess my wife will just have to pack light. |

You need to be aware that the horizontal spare wheel and tire are integral to a 308's or 328's front "crush safety zone" in case of an accident.

Geiko Insurance proves me with 24/7 flat bed towing PLUS i hate having ANY extra weight. A "tire repair in a can" MIGHT work SOMETIMES, but all in all a flat is rare so... Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

As you all know the 1986 328 GTS is not long on luggage space. When on extended weekend type trips with my wife, I could use the room that the spare tire takes up. I am told that the later models, (348 & 355)do not even have spares. Can I just take a can of some "tire sealing & inflation" product and use the extra space. If so, anybody have a suggestion on a specific product? Thanks for your thoughts. |
