Jeff, Here are some customs issues. 1) the duty is about 10% of cost just like a sales tax 2) there is no duty if they are computer parts so label all exhaust temp ecu and sensors as for the computer as in computer parts so we USA guys don't have to pay 3) NEVER label anything bearings. There is an anti-dumping law and if you label in the bill of ladding bearings we get extra tax and they can return the shipment to you under the law unless the bearings cannot be obtained in the USA. They let these in for personal use only after treating you like a criminal. 4)These parts are from italy keep the invoice of parts in italian and the us customs are too lazy to translate it and let our part through. When I order from UK it takes about 2 days longer than if I order from Italy just because of this reason |

It's all about the weight...and the final invoice cost, but for ss brake lines (around $75) the shipping and duty was around $20. Ferrari UK's rate are very good, and delivery is only a couple days! I find the lower prices more than make up for the shipping. |

Hi Importing to Canada is duty free if parts are for a car 20 years old or older. Simple when you know the correct tariff # (and Ferrari of UK does know the number!). Perhaps there is a similar exemption in US? Gerrit 308GT4 |

Cost me $30 from the UK for a tool kit the other day. And 10% imort duty bill will arrive in about 2 weeks after the FedEx catches up with their billing. |

Hi all. We ship (literally) tons of stuff to the US every week, a lot to our new, valued customers on this site ! We send most of our F/chat parts by Fedex as we have a special discount and then pass that discount on to the end user. We ship upto .5 kg or 1.1 lbs overnight for about $18 and of course the cost gets less as the weight goes up, if you know what I mean !! We have not heard a great deal about US Customs duty so I don't think it is a huge %. Shoot us some part #s on the Owners' Site and we'll prepare a quote if you like. Cheers |

You will pay import duty on the parts. Usually the shipping company sends you a separate bill for it after the parts arrive and clear customs (at least that's how it works for my business). For an individual, they may ship it duty collect from the port of entry to your address. |

I thought there were import tariffs on euro products like car parts. Is mail-order exempt? Or is it like sales tax -- supposed to be paid separately (although rarely is)? Or did Junior finally do something about Clinton's economic iron curtain? (The main reason I voted for Jr. was to get rid of those.) |

why not put what you want to order into the owners.ferrari.com / Ferrari UK site, and see what they quote as your shipping cost, from memory from US to UK for a 911 service kit and a few other bits was approx $20 |

For those in the U.S. who have ordered various parts through European distributors, what were the shipping costs? Dumb question, but I am trying to get an idea of what shipping might cost if I were to buy...let's say a few sets of oil air and fuel filters, belts, alternator etc., from a European parts house. I did look at the DHL website - useless for shipping estimates. I figure those who've done it would know best what they paid and that would be more useful. Thanks |
