Frank: Sorry, that was meant for Wayne. By here I meant Calif.... Didn't realize how confusing that was.

Frank, you WILL get stopped...and depending on the officer, it is quite possible you will get a ticket, regardless of having the "real" plate in your car. I had a couple friends that put euro "delivery" plates on the front of their cars (had real plate on back). They both got stopped a few times, let go, then one got a ticket, and they both just gave up, drew way too much attention from law enforcement. I supposed how often you drive the car will influence whether you are stopped or not...

Interesting, that rarely has anyone in our FCA chapter been stopped with no plate on the front.... including me. Never had one on my 308, or my current 328.

BTW, I do think these are cool, and will have to order one to hang in the garage!

Dan, no these are novelty plates although I do plan to use it on my car until I get stopped by the long arm of the law.

You can reserve plates here? I thought you had to buy the plate and then when you register the car, they actually hand it over. Apparently, if you don't collect it within a certain amount of time, they go back on the market.

fyi - i emailed them and they responded within a few hours that they have just bought a security certificate for their own site (i assume the ccard stuff is outsourced) and it would be installed within the next few days.

so i look forward to ordering my plate by the end of the week!

Doody, to avoid security issues, I just called them and made a telephone order rather than ordering on line. I plan to put it on back of my car and just carry my real license plate in the car. That way, if I get stopped I can just show the real plate to the police and hopefully not get a ticket. Or, I could put the real plate in the rear window with suction cups I suppose ?

I don't think they are legal as "REAL" plates but in places that don't require fronts this could be a good thing but novelty is really where this is headed not for daily use as your only plate

www.licenseplates.tv They have euro plates for sale that you can customise. I ordered a Belgium plate that says "82 Boxer" for my Belgium spec car.
