Thank you for your help James, and Will. Im suprised that all it takes is just be certified. Theirs many different certification programs, but Im assuming the general certification would be good. Any specific program that would be more beneficial than another?

Thanks James. Jaime, I'll try to ask one of the guys at FoW what he recommends.

Jamie, and Will,
I talked with the service manager at Algar, and he told me you just have to become a certified auto mechanic. After that, you get hired on. He said that there is no Ferrari school you get trained at, unless there is a new model coming out, then they will train you on that new model.

Ive asked around about that at a local shop, but apprenticing at the shop wasnt available. I live near Austin and their are no Fcar dealers here. I know some of you guys are freinds with your mechanics, where did they go?

I have a young friend interested in becoming a Ferrari mechanic, and so have the same question. I've already suggested he apprentice to a dealership or good independent.

Greeting and hows everyone doing?

While being here on FC Ive learned that Fcars arent as hard as they come off to repair. I was wondering if any of you knew what it took to become a certified Fcar technician? Do you have to travel overseas to the factory? I know Porshce has many certification programs around the nation, but Ive never seen a Ferrari one.
