I've always wondered just how much the salepeople make, both base salary and off of commission. Seems like a lucrative carrer, if you can make a go of it.

Downriver here, also there is alot of f-cars I see I always see this guy crossing the grosse-ile bridge in a sweet red 360,theirs a nice 308 a few blocks over on the way to the Dorthy the dock-renters,Anyways TIM N finesse means The witholding of ones highest card or trump in the hope that a lower card will take the trick because the only opposing higher card is in the hand of an opponent who has allready played..or the skill and handling of a situation..BUT I read a few of your other posts you seem like a nice kid I misunderstood your post I thought you were rippin on Nancy with the better than thou thing, shes a very nice lady and a hot blonde at that....

"Cars are so rare Kelly doesn't take customers on test drives until they pay at least a $5,000 deposit."

What? Is it true you have to pay $5k just to get a test drive? I can go to my local dealer and have a drive in any model of Ferrari (regarding what they have on offer), just like they take any other customer whos seriously looking a F-car. Doesnt cost a penny! Thats why they have insurance if something goes wrong.

Do you guys in US really have to pay to get a test drive? I can understand the dealers will see all kinds of customers, some more serious than others - but $5ks is bit too much! Or is the $5k just in case something happens and so will be later given back to you?

...Everyday I learn something new :-)

Kelly is a very classy lady with a heart of gold. It's worth dropping by the dealer just to meet her.

She deserves the good press.

I'm in Harrison Township, Michigan by Lake St.Clair I don't understand why we don't have a active club in Detroit area. I understand their are 500 Ferraris in Michigan.

remember - it's better to be the world's BEST garbage man rather than the world's worst doctor.

From my limited experience with Cauley - I can say that they are truly a fine dealership with wonderful people. I met a few at the Woodward cruise. Charming and informed......I wish they were closer

* The Toronto dealer is super - I stress that too

My guess is that she owned a company that cleaned Grosse Pointe mansions. She doesn't look like any cleaning lady I've ever seen.

I'm glad to hear all the good things about Cauley. I'm going in there for the first time next week. There prices are sure out of sight. I went by after the RM auction last week. They were closed, but the 348 Spider in the window was priced at $93,000!

I guess you can not make it to a Ferrari sales person as a cleaning lady but only as a highly trained Domestic engineer!

Chris is Nancy's husband !

...just kidding :-)

Truely a great story. She looks very pleasant.

The engineer is interesting. You have to stuidy for that or get a degree? How does a structural engineer thing about this title and the free use of the word "engineer".

Since when is cleaning lady a bad word? ..or garbage man for this matter!

Nnacy is an outstanding woman. She is a pleasure to talk to and work with - whether you are buying a T-shirt or a 550 Maranello. In fact, the entire staff at Cauley Ferrari is great. They are true professionals.

I bought my ferrari 1984 308 GTS QV from Jack Cauley Ferrari when Nancy was only selling Merchandise, and I remember when said that owner Jeff Cauley asked her if she would be interested in selling cars. Nancy is a fine lady, and I wish her great success. I must also say that dealing with Jack Cauley Ferrari is a wonderful experence.

"domestic engineer"? That's a new one. I've heard "sanitation engineer" for "garbageman" before but never knew that these terms were actually used in actual news publications, ha!

Apparently the best way is to start by cleaning the homes of rich people. There must be a connection between cleaning their homes and cleaning out their wallets. Here's a link to a story in the Detroit News about the salesperson at Cauley Ferrari:
