I own one of each...Boxers are decendants of the front engined ferraris and they are not the high speed touring cars Testarossas are. I love them both, each in its own way. I would rather have the Boxer.

James, Boxers are nice but my 512TR is no Miami Vice wannabe. This is as bad to the bone as it gets :-)Upload

Erik - power is comparable. Handling is better with Boxer. Creature comforts better with TR. TR is high speed cruising car, Boxer is more "sport" with "race bred" design and features. All in all, the Boxer is more Ferrari, the TR is more, well, Miami Vice.

Seeing that both of you guys own or owned TR's. Do you mind me asking how they compare to one another? I don't want to change the direction of the thread. BTW why didn't they ever import boxer's directly for sale in the US? Thanks guys

Frank - I bought one 4 months ago to put on the shelf. I haven't opened the box.

I note that Amerispec has OEM exhaust systems for sale from new cars they removed them from when they were DOT/EPA converted back in the 80s. The OEM exhaust is a must if you want to display your Boxer in concours events.
