Saturday afternoon better for me. 1400-1530'ish. Baby duties make it difficult to get out late! (You need to see the kid (15 months old) in his Ferrari race suit.)

Well, is there anyone who it still up for it??

If so, please give me a ring ASAP or post. It seems as if a weekend day would be better and if Russ, our guest of honor isn't going to make it, then maybe we should reschedule. Omar, Ryan, is the reschedule okay with you two? I don't want to cancel if you two are still planning to make it.

Thanks,
Lashdeep

Well, it's going around.
Have an emergency late open ended meeting in the District and will have to catch everyone later.
Looks like Saturday may be the best for me as well.
Anyone up for this Saturday in Alexandria?
Say, 1900 at Macaroni Grill in Kingstowne?
best to all

Guys, I have a work emergency today that is screwing up my schedule. I *will* be at dinner, but may end up arriving at about 7:15pm.

Either way, the reservation is there...and I will see you guys as soon as I can make it. I've rec'd 8 RSVPs, so we should have a good sized group.

See y'all tonight,
Lashdeep

Dang! I'm sad too as I really wanted to see your work of art.

It looks like we are also going to try to meet in Alexandria on a Saturday soon if you can make it down this far.

Hope to meet you soon.

Well, my car is in northern PA at the moment, so if I can get there tom. it will be in my lil' 6er...so bringing a f-car is not required....I hope. :-)

I'm a little sad, but it looks like I'm not going to make it down for this one. My alternator belt melted itself the other day and since the furniture store called today to say they're delivering tomorrow, I need to get the new lights installed or I'm in big big trouble...repairing the ferrari will need to wait until friday or saturday :-(

Depending on work, I'll try to leave from the Kingstowne Chili's on Beulah at 1815 if anyone wants to convoy.

Hopefully the beltway traffic won't be too bad.

Actually, Rich, I'm in a similar situation. I've got a case that is keeping me at work until at least 8 at night, which makes any weeknight event very hard to attend.

I don't think I will be able to make it to Rockville. I have a trial in DC on Friday so I won't be able to leave work that early, let alone leave Old Town by then. Old Town get together sounds good for sometime though.

Also, it might be an idea to get everyone together on a weekend day in, perhaps, Old Town. My job doesn't make it easy to leave by 7 or so on weeknights, so weekends are a little better. It would also be nice to see everyone's cars outside in the daylight before it snows!

Russ, et.al

Let's plan on meeting at PF Chang's (White Flint Mall) at 7pm this Thursday.

I just made the reservation for the "Ferrari Club" for 10 people at 7:30pm. I figured that with DC traffic, the 30 minute buffer to grab a drink would be welcome until we all make it.

I hope to see you all there.

Let me know if you guys have any questions.

Thanks,
Lashdeep

Can meet about 1800 from the Beulah Chili's (or someplace) if anyone wants to convoy.

Hey guys, I'm thinking about Thursday night (Oct 30th) at PF Chang's in Rockville (White Flint Mall). It's got good food, good parking possibilities and is convenient to Russ in VA as well as other MD residents. Also, we can try out our F355 Challenge skills at Dave and Busters afterwards.

Anyone interested in meeting at around 7-7:30pm?

Let me know if this day is good so I can proceed with reservations, etc...

Thanks,
Lashdeep

PS-Russ, Matt Boyd and George Parker say "hello".

Back from watching the 5OT Tennessee Alabama game in Tuscaloosa.

Yep, Lash, I'm back. In DC of all places (Lash is a brilliant tourguide and host from years ago..).

If weekday, Wednesday is best for me, but I'm very flexible - is that ok with everyone. Some Italian place with a good parking lot?

best to all

I just want to hear/see Russ's engine and get the out for a drive since it was down all summer, dinner is optional. I'm pretty new to the area too and have spent most of the time in the shop. Just let me know what you guys are thinking.

Supposed to be nice weekend too-sorry I missed the party at FOW but I had used up my quota of late nights early this month.
Somebody pick a time or place-or just meet at the italian car thing at the lambo dealer this weekend.

Yeah, the FoW party was, indeed, fantastic. I loved seeing Marriott's 288GTO...what a car. The F40 & F50 weren't too shabby either. They do throw a hell of a party. We had no trouble parking; we just pulled up in back and entered through the shop.
Lemme know what you all end up planning for a get-together. Barbara and I will do our best to join in. Would really like to meet some of you guys!

I would like to try to meet too. We went to the FoW party on Wednesday. It started raining hard in Old Town just as I put the Garage door up to leave in the F car so we took the Cayenne instead. Good move even though Alexandria was the only place in the world where it rained hard. FoW was a mob scene with huge lines just to park. I pulled the truck up over the curb and just parked in the weeds -saved a ton of time and frustration. I think the invites went out to the 7 series BMW club and the local HOG chapter because it sure didn't seem like there were lots of driving enthusiasts there. Nice collection of Ferrari supercars on the showroom -288 GTO,F40,F50 and an Enzo - WOW. The new Maserati Quattroporte was really nice too. As usual the most fun was hanging out in the service area, gaping at racecars and lying about how fast we are. You really have to hand it to FoW -they really throw great parties.

North Beltway is fine. Are there any good Italian or BBQ restaurants up there? I'm new in these parts. Perhaps I can get some of these Alexandria guys to convoy.
