PSK, I agree with you. Im not denying McLarens racing heritage. To me, however, Ferrari's heritage is that much more impressive. I didn't mean to not give McLaren their due credit, they deserve it, I was just trying to make a point |

Warren, Funny when I think of the name McLaren I think of the awesome F1 team who brought new standards and professionalism to F1 that left Ferrari so far behind that they were out of the winners circle for 21 years. But then I'm a New Zealander and the name McLaren will always have a special place to any petrol head Kiwi. And yes I know that things have changed a lot since Bruce was around but it is still his name. Anyway I agree that the Enzo is a better car, just amused that most would apply all you said to the McLaren BEFORE they would apply that to Ferrari, since Ferrari is not just an awesome race team but has been making ROAD cars since the 50's. The McLaren RACE team on the other hand has only made ONE road car!!!!, can't get more racy or close to race than that. Pete ps: BTW the McLaren personally does nothing for me and I would trade one in for an F40 the second a McLaren was gifted to me ... but then again I might do the same if an Enzo was gifted also ... |

Peter, sorry, I can't agree with you on that one! Don't get me wrong, the McLaren was, and still is, an awesome car. It is, what, 8 years old? And still one of the highest performance cars on the market. THAT is impressive. It is a car that was definitely way ahead of its time! But, The Enzo, for me is on a completely different level. Performance wise, sure, the McLaren is a little faster, but put the two of them on a track. But thats not even half of it. The technology that the Enzo embodies is remarkable, from the electronics to the aerodynamics. And finally, and certainly not least, what the Enzo represents. Years of racing, winning, setting high standars, getting through hard times, to only come out on top and set new records. When I think of Racing, I think of Ferrari. And when I think of the Enzo, its clear to me that its definitely a product of everything that Ferrari represents. Yes, McLaren set the benchmark in '95. But in 2002 I think Ferrari redefined the term 'Supercar'. The 250 SWB is not doubt an awesome car, but I would take the Enzo. If a 250 SWB California Spider was in question, that would be a different story |

Simple logic: 50 years from now, the 250 will still be a treasure. At that time, the Enzo will be scrapped due to decaying carbon fiber & unobtainable electronics. |

250 SWB is one of my favorite vintage Ferrari's of all times.. The Enzo is just an outright Monster.. If money wasn't an option (maintance) I would need to get the ENZO.. This is a tough call... Good question JRK! |

No question, the 250. Fast enough for most purposes, you can get into most any classic event, it's fun at 65, and there's no replacement around the corner. Oh, and then there's the aesthetic part of the whole equation. --Dan |
