It's only worth as much what someone will pay for it. Simple as that.

But if you want a "fixer upper" in you driveway, this could be your money pit.

What is it worth? make a list of all good parts left, add up figures and thats what it's worth. If you want a salavage title car buy one that has been repaired as they are worth 50% less. If he paid about 25k for car + 22k for parts,+misselaneous parts + labor + materials, and he still did'nt hear it run or drive it. I would say by the time he is done he could of bought an " 01 Diablo". vinny

It would be interesting to see what the seller paid for it at auction.

What's with the fire problems with Ferrari? I hear plenty enough to wonder.

I also like the, "...including everything in the engine compartment (except the long block and transmission)"

Also, looks like the fire might have affected the passenger compartment too as the seats look like they're done or need to be re-covered.

If I could pick this car up for 25K I would and just fix it piece by piece for like 10 years and then be amazed at what I did........NOT I would rather buy a 308 for 35K that is perfect then this 355.

A 'small' fire that burns the L/R fender and appears to have scorched the L/R tire, Half the top and part of the rear bumper?

Small compared to what? A Peterbilt?

Wouldn't it have value to an independent Ferrari mechanic as a parts car?

Anyone who buys that car needs their head examined.....

Even after spending thousands of dollars to get it put together, you're looking at a house of cards for everything else in it. Besides, at the end, you've got a salvaged title, repainted, rebuilt, no-resale value automobile.

This only makes sense for someone who wants a track car or an ongoing lifetime project with an unlimited money pit.

There's no such thing as a 'little' fire. That's like being a 'little' pregnant.

There is probably 50 to 100 hours to re-assemble the car (motor has to be pulled for belts, etc. Then you get to paint it. After you're done, its still got a salvage title. Value: maybe 20k, and even then if you don't have all the parts, you'll lost, because the value after assembly will be less than 50k.

I think $20k , prob with fire is you can never tell how far the damage has gone to suspension parts rubber seals etc, it could be a for ever after rebuild,

Just my opinion.

In the past I've seen people selling Euros that said E-Bay will not allow the VIN (in the VIN field), but you can always put it in the description if you have nothing to hide....

$25K Tops. It would take over 100K to put the car back together correctly. This guy is dreaming in his essay.

Even if you bought it to part it out you would be hard pressed. 95 OBD I and all that....

Just another E-bay adventure........

He should be happy if he gets $55,000!!

Does he really think he would get $85,000 for a near perfect car with a salvage title?

After 16 years of trading on Wall Street I have learned one thing for sure.....NO ONE GIVES ANYTHING AWAY IF THERE IS ANY PROFIT TO BE MADE.
