James the problem with flood damage is do you really know how much water the car ingested? For example if water got into the intake os the motor and has sat for a while that motor is toast. Also if the water had any strong current to it it may be able to push it way past seals and get into the motor and trany. Electrical in my opinion will be the biggest problem since a lot of the interior connectors are not waterproof like engine compartment connections. In some cases a flood damage car can cost more than a crash damage car to fix since the issues could be bumper to bumper instead of localised. Just my opinion. Rob Guess "The Other Rob" |

Anyone bought anything with flood damage for a project. Seems like a straightforward strip and rebuild to me without any major costs since it's mostly labour. |

This may seem like a dumb question, but why not just buy one in good shape and drive it... Rather than buying a trashed car that will cost a hell of a lot more in the long run to fix that one running with a good title??? |
