Guys thanks for the input. I'm in the market for a low mileage well maintained TR. Any input is appreciated. |

Depends in taste because I bought my 1988 1/2 testarossa with the knock off wheels, I didnt want a ferrari with the five lug rims. Also I didn't buy a later car because I didn't see any reason why buy a newer one and invest extra cash, and mine was a 5,000 mile example. |

(The pricing's a little out of date, but) there are three mechanical upgrades (water/oil pump drive chain, air pump, and alternator belt/pulley) mentioned in Forza's TR Buyer's Guide: http://www.theautochannel.com/publications/magazines/forza/number16/index.html I believe the wheels (both the 5-lug and the single-lug) also came 16" or metric 415 so I'd factor that in too (i.e., 5-lug 16" as best and single-lug 415 as least desirable with the others in between). |

I'm looking at a 1988 TR. What are the advantages of the later years, 88 1/2 thru 91, other than the wheels, knock offs as opposed to the lugs? |
