Tony, the answer is yes. Anything can be done for the correct amount of $$. Their body shop would love to have the job and the parts person would love to sell you the shields for approx. $1,000 for the pair. Best scenario would be to go to an outside body shop who has done the job before and buy the shields from somewhere else. It still has to be be fairly expensive to complete. Personally, I would not do it unless the front end or fender(s) needed repair work or paint. |

can you go back to dealer and ask for the enamel shields to be fitted by them AFTER you bought the car ? |

Joe, I think it is more expensive than risky. Personally, and I hope it never happens,I would wait under the fenders need some sort of repair or repaint. Some people have had it done but primarily for that reason. To each his own! |

Guys....the beat goes on! Your badge, my badge, your color, my color. Blah blah blah. The badges that Joe shows in the original note below were from me and he even mentions so. I agree with Joe.....Amen. Time to move on. |

~~"Nick, my background yellow color is closer to yours. The other yellow is not mine. Plus the picture is not that good anyway."~~Paul Paul, I received this badge (the lighter yellow) from a guy who said he bought a pair from you. He wanted to send me your badge to check it out, after he bought a pair of badges from me. I don't want to post a photo if it's not your badge. But they do look pretty simular to the other badges posted of yours. As for the color on the badge...do you think it is faded from the sun? 'cause the photo is a very good representation of what they looked like when put side by side. I didn't change the colors, I promise. The badges at the bottom of this post looked out of focus, you can't see any detail. |

I have the same as Gary has (for $80, ha!). Compared to the nose badge I think the yellow is a bit to bright, but over all they are good enough, though I presume Nick's are nicer and more original with the correct lines in the horse. |

I bought a brand new pair of metal ones on eBay for $100. They are marked Jean Baracat/St.Trapez on the back.

Joe, The magnets work on the LIGHT el cheapo resin shields for cars that have fenders where magnets work. Magnets probably will not work with proper shields. The resins are cheap crap if you ask me. Debating the shield thing for the 308 and this will allow me a look-see before i go permanent and have the fenders beaten and proper shields installed (if i choose to have them). Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

Joe, magnetic backing will not work on a 360. Won't stick to aluminum. |

Stephen Tell me more about magnetic backing, im looking at a very thin 3m double sided tape. If they have to come off , this can be done without damage. |

Hey there Mr. Horsefly! Not too bad. Got a lot of projects going on so it's going a little slower than I would like. I will be taking a bunch of photos before paint, and after. Think I am going just a bit different from every other P4 I've seen; Giallo. It's looking quite different from the photos you remember a few months ago. I'm hoping it can get painted in 4-5 weeks. We'll see. I'll post before and after photos when its all painted. Still trying to decide what engine to put in it. 308/328, or 348/355? |
