So Saturday morning I met a bunch of Ferrari Chat folks at Crystal Cove which was such a hoot...and there was a bit of ash from all the fires. Came home, putzing around, and a neighbor asked if we were leaving. Whaaaat? The fire had shifted and we were supposed to evacuate. I took it lightly as we have fires in the area all the time. But when it hit, it hit fast. Here's some pics. Not a good thing when you end up with new photog guys in your front yard. The fire was about 300 feet back of us.   I want to thank my friends for volunteering to keep us out of harms way. Evanna Manley of Manley Labs showed up to help. Made me take the picture waiving "bye" as the house was for sure a goner. But by inches and moments it was saved. |
