Thanks Mark. In QV500.com it states the seats were lowered 13cm. in the 512TR. Im skeptical they could be lowered that much.

Dave:

There is slightly more headroom in the 512TR. However, I noticed less knee/leg room as the knee bolster in the 512 is much more substantial than the first series TR.

Ok For those who have been in both a TR an the 512TR. Is there more headroom in the 512TR?
A TR is kinda tight for me upstairs.

Don't worry about the mileage - worry about the maintenance history and records. My 512TR has almost 61K miles and it's running and driving perfectly, also with many track days in its history. Clyde Romero's has 68K and is also going strong.
If the car has been driven regularly throughout its life and all maintenance has been religiously done throughout it's life with 3K/6 month oil changes you probably have little to worry about.
Also, check those receipts for updates. The gearbox in particular - the second gear synchro, differential and output shaft are prone to failure especially if the car has been really driven. The repairs are very expensive particularly if the parts are replaced with much-improved F512M parts. When my diff failed the repair cost was over $25K. The transmission was about the only part of the Testarossa not upgraded with the 512TR and it's not entirely up to the increased power and grip.
You probably don't have to worry about the mouse track seatbelt update as that's a US only issue.

my road 512TR has around 40,000 miles & I track the helll out of it. One of my mechanics told me it was the sweetest nicest driving TR he had ever driven. So No problems buying a 512TR with 40k miles, AS LONG as they did the maintenance and you see the receipts, have the belts changed, & get a mechanic to look at the car before you buy it

Adnaan, or anybody, do you know of any information regarding having the rear lights updated to the 512M lights (parts availability, cost, etc.)?

I really like the double light arrangement and would consider doing it to my car if the price was reasonable and the job not too tough.

Speak to them and see what they offer. Otherwise check out QV500.com and see what price they say. I found they were pretty accurate for the Mondial prices.

The TR is one hell of a car....

Verdi charge 1395 for major service with cambelts. Additional 400 for valves. Try and work the price, and you might get a good deal.

Wow I had no idea they were such good value! Have a look at the other one for 37000 half the mileage and better colour in my opinion.

IMHO seems about 10K too cheap since 86-88 Testarossas go for high 30s.
