N'din i reguarly use the cars he owns becourse of the nature of my work,i am driving armured Merks to ferraris and lambos, to him there just cars with no atachment.Good job i am a tifosy ey? As for the 360 he has a paddel shift coup'e, but the one i used was a 2003 manual, he has drove it for 50 miles and i have drove it 4000miles in four weeks. Compared to my TR and my 328gts the 360 sumed up in a word is MODERN. I love them all becourse they are all great exotics,i could sell both mine to buy a 2000 360 but if i can drive them every day why bother to me no one Ferrari is better than the next, i love them all. |

What the heck? Haven't y'all ever heard of shotguns? rifles? (spoken like a true Texan ) Roadside cameras are great target practice... and that avoids any risk of being identified... distance is your friend! |

"...i think the 360 is a finer car than i orginally thought, even though i knew it was anyway." lol Chaz, you're a man after my own heart. How does the 360 experience compare to your TR? Faster? More control? More remote (paddle shift)? How high did you manage to rev it?! I, too, recently did a barnstorming run across the continent. Lake Constance (Germany) from Rouen (France) and back in a weekend for a wedding. French motorways are much more suitable for a (very) high speed dash than are England's. Lane discipline is excellent, and you just don't seem to get the bad attitude you mention on this side of the channel. Having said that, things are changing, and fast. Speed cameras are arriving frogside. They're taking the UK's speeding policy lock, stock, and throw away the key. The fact is that British roads have been Europe's safest since overtaking Sweden - headlights flashing, leaning on the horn - around 1980. I suppose this is down to a better overall level of education. For example, people use their indicators (turn signals?) in the UK which is very rarely the case in France, Italy, Spain... The French government, however, seems to think that by going for speeders they'll transform their frankly shocking statistics into somethig more respectable. I'm convinced they're barking up the wrong tree; and besides, your average Frenchman is not going to take this lying down...

I think the reason the uk is so anti speed is becourse the goverment know how the car driver is an easy target for makeing money from, the amount of speed cameras is unbeleveable. The goverment feed the public statistics after statistics trying to make speeding of any kind anti social.Of course there is a time and place where it is safe to have fun like on a long stretch of clear road in the countryside where there has never been any accidents, but still it will be litterd with camaras. You know in the uk you could just go down to the local store and by the time you get back home you will already be banned from driveing without even knowing it.I dont think the uk has a lower accident rate than anywere else in Europe, its just our goverment are greedy bastards who pick on the easy target and there is a large number of people who are getting fedup with it.A few weeks ago i was driveing my TR through a quite village at around 40mph in a 40mph zone, when this guy who was in his 20s screamed and waved at me to slow down, f***ing ell now thats brain washing. As a petrol head i dislike the uk nowere is safe, i envy those of you who live on main land Europe. Fantastic attitudes towards exotics and great roads, although i would love to drive across the USA to(i have watched the gumball to you know).I will post a few pics later on today. |

Chaz Have your boss fit a nav system they really work well and allow you to keep your eyes on the road and listen for directions. Why is UK becoming like that? Are other parts of Europe as well? Sounds like a great trip! |

Chaz, You are very right about the attitude towards those with better thing in life in the UK. This is simply one of the many reasons i try to never go there any longer. There is a photo of what that 360 might look like if it is parked on the street overnight in London. http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/342366.jpg Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

> As for Paris, got lost in the congestion for over an hour and had to pay > a taxi driver 50 Euros to lead me out of the place. LOL!! Seriously, though... I'll have to remember that trick... could come in handy when I go explorin'! I haven't tried driving Paris... the public transportation was confusing enough. Walking around was fairly straight-forward, though... they have some pretty distinct landmarks. |

Brought back to the uk one of my bosses 360 spyder from Portugal, going through spain and france. Bloody awsome especially in Spain where i very realy fell bellow 100mph and easly obtained 180mph.Met a dude in spain with a Lambo, we pisses about abit on the road then we both stopped at a lay by cafe, cool dude also English, lives there for dubious reasons that i wont go into. And the tunnels that go through the mountains WOW! Peoples attitude in mainland Europe have a different approach to that of the UK, you dont get made to feel alian becourse you like a bit of speed, you are encouraged to endulge even the cops are cool and wave and no one is afraid to shout out and wave or flash there lights, Cool. As for france the first half was great just like Spain with every one realy cool, then it rains very very hard but still every one gives it some on the motorways, Hey so do i.As for Paris, got lost in the congestion for over an hour and had to pay a taxi driver 50 Euros to lead me out of the place. The 360 preformed fantastically with out a murmor, i think the 360 is a finer car than i orginally thought, even though i knew it was anyway. All in all i have drivern in Europe before from country to country and its all good, Attitude is awsome then i come back to the ever so tightening UK. |
