Martin, If you need an over night lay over in Atlanta give me a buzz. I was the one who bought the 208 tranny from you and gave you the offer of staying here if you were ever in the area. If you need my phone and address, drop me an off forum email. Jeff Davison |

Martin, drive it back and stay in KC, you are always welcome at the house! Then you can stop in Destin and stay on the boat for a day (I know you aren't a boat guy, but the clubs and restaurants are great where the boat is!). Chris |

Martin: the car looks great on e-bay. I like the description, the mileage, and the price. (does the FML have prices on Challenge f-cars?) Almost makes me wish that I had bid against you (just kidding). Keep up posted as it sounds like you are going to be proceeding with trying to complete the purchase. You've sure got good feedback on e-bay (and for purchasing cars, not paper clips!). Ed |

Just let me know if you need my help. No problem leaving the car here and please do stop by. My inventory has grown as of late and maybe I have something you need like another 348. |

Thanks Sean, I may just fly over there tomorrow and pick up the car and pay cash for it. Providing he gets his act together before banks close today. Would also stop by your place to say hi and maybe impose leaving the car with you till the truck picks it up.

why the drama? he should have produced the info/specs earlier and easier to someone who is a potential buyer. that would turn me off. |

Sean I sent him an e-mail before th auction ended because my information on the VIN on that car were different and showed a TS not a TB and also a race car not a street car. My info was wrong I guess and we cleared that up. Faxing a title should not be necessary to be discussed prior to the end of an auction. If you have the car and own it you cna fax it or say the bank has it and thier phone number to verify is X. The negative feedback is already in the process of being removed. I hope that works. E-bay is strange when it comes to that. It sent him an e-mail to respond and put my phone number in there to verify that it has been resolved. Who knows if he will sell me the car. Maybe he has just missed jacking up the price in the last minute and is pissed because it got a low price.

Well you should probably recind the negative feedback. Also, you should have had him fax the title and agree to the inspection BEFORE you won the auction (if you did, I didn't see it in your e-mails). Did you call him? He sent you his phone number. Amazing what a few phone calls can accomplish. When I bought my car off E-Bay, everything was agreed to BEFORE the auction ended (actually, he canceled it), including deposits, faxing of title to me, and inspection process and who would do it, etc. E-bay is fine for selling cars. You just need to make sure everything is agreed to BEFORE you win the auction. |

HOLD OFF !!!! The guy actually faxed me the title for the car. He has it and also the invoice for it from when he bought it. I WAS WRONG. I would have hoped he had sent that earlier to have avoided all this and especially the negative feedback I left him.

The interesting thing is he has done it pretty well. Priced the car right, had a good description etc. I had a glimpse of hope he actually would come around and fax me the title.

Geez Martin..... I do not see anywhere in the e-mails you posted where you did not act in anything less than good faith and honesty. Amazing.......isn't it.......buyers are usually the ones who have a potential for lying and misrepresenting their intentions in my experience, sellers are almost always forthcoming and easy to deal with. |

Hi Martin, I`m very sad and dissapointed for you to read the story. ebay sucks; a real estate for banditios! And I know what I`m talking about...same problem in my business with ebay scams. This kind of a$$clowns has also stolen pics & descriptions from my web-site and sold the scams over ebay. Always pre-payment, western-union bank, candian account a.s.o. In Germany is a special police department (simular to your FBI) only working against ebay/scams/banditos. You have lost time, energy, power but god bless no money! Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI |

I've sold a bunch of cars on Ebay. It's so easy to tell who is full of BS and who isn't. But amazingly there are still 5 or six deadbeat bidders per auction. I don't understand why people try to scam with cars. All this idiot had to do was fax the title with VOID in big letters. But it's obvious he doesn't own it. Thank you for pointing this one out. Someone tried a similar thing one time with me but the car was allegedly located, get this, three miles from my town. I told him I'd come get it and the idiot kept saying no send the money by mail...? Being the mastermind criminal that he was I looked his name up in the phone book and I CALLED IT AND GOT HIS MOTHER AND FATHER. His father and I had a good talk. I told his father to have a cop sit the kid down or I would call them. I verified latter that he had. The kids old man was a stand up guy. Why do nice people breed rotten children? I have no clue. |

I was the high bidderr on a 348TB Challenge yellow. Turns out the guy likely does not have the car after I asked him to bring it to Harris Imports to have it inspected and told him that I will send a deposit check to Sean, which Sean should hand out when he presents the car. This is my e-mail conversation. You have to start from the bottowm and read to the top: I would not sell you the car under any circumstances whatsoever at this point. Have a nice day.
