I had 310 miles mostly highway, inlcudes a few loooong warmups, when the TR's low fuel warning light came on. I then put in 20.8 (US) gallons of 91 octane, meaning that it was only about 2/3 empty. Sure not going to run out when that light comes on - avg. 15 mpg, now that's not bad. ;) -Ben |

Driving from San Francisco to Lake Tahoe in an 84 308 GTSI, going anywhere from 65 mph to 130 mph, I could have sworn I was getting about 21 to 23 miles to a gallon. This was 17 years ago and maybe the gas was better back then. |

When my wife & I drove cross-country from Texas to Calif. last September, we averaged 92 MPH for the approx. 1500 miles there, and averaged 16.1 MPG. For the whole trip, 3800 miles +/-, averaging 84 MPH, we averaged 15.9 MPG. This, in a year 2000 Maranello, rated at 12 MPH highway! I was impressed (especially since gasoline was well over $2 a gallon in Calif. back then--a painful fill-up with a 38 gallon tank...) |

I put 270 miles on my TR today, mostly freeway driving (altho some not), about half a tank is gone (~15 gals. used). I did not make it back to the fuel station today, but next time I get it out of the garage I'll go fill up to see exactly what I burned. From rough estimation about the same as you JSL!!! Just for fun mine as well. -Ben |

Who would think that you can get 18.4 MPG at 80 MPH average over 120 miles? Just for fun, today's milage on my 89 328. |
