Jim, you car sure looks good in white, but I am looking for red or black. Unless I can be convinced of the benefits of a white F-car (I already have a white Pontiac)

No way, I'd do all the maintenance myself along with a mles budget of about 3000 miles per year, I've got every possible tool and have tons of experience working on cars so Ferrari is just the next logical step. Unless anything major goes wrong the parts should cost as much as my a service for a my Mercedes S class, ($600 twice a year).

I've put off my first Ferrari purchase because I understand the price of the car means nothing for an enjoyable experience. I expect I may spend up to a thousand just looking at cars and having a mechanic test them out, and I want to be sure I can either afford the repairs and maintainence or do them myself after purchase. For a 308 I'm figuring $2k a year on average over time. If you're going to take the plunge, better budget a LOT more than $50k for a Testarossa as they cost a lot more than a 308 for everything. Maybe a 308 or Mondial would be a better choice?

Chris,
About 3 weeks ago, I was at Norwood Performance in Dallas looking at a 1991 348tb, red/tan, for $50k. I know you are looking for a 348ts, but you might give James Patterson at Norwoods a call. 972-831-8111. I did not drive the car, but it appeared to be well maintained and loved.

Chris, I found my last Ferrari in Norfolk and drove it home to Arkansas....
My first was in Detroit...
I always bought a round trip ticket when I went to look at cars.
If the car was not what I expected then I would fly home.
If it fit what I wanted then I would drive it home,,,

If you can afford to buy a Ferrari and the expenses that go with it, I hope you could shell out the $75 or so to subscribe to FML. Otherwise, autotrader, yahoo etc....there are many search engines for classifieds. Also, if you buy a $50k TR and you're trying to save $75 on a subscription, your first repair or part replacement will make your eyes water.

ALright, my dad is still looking for a 348TS or an early model testarossa for around 50k. I find them all in California and this poses a major problem:I am in virginia, doesn't anyone here like Ferrari's? Where do I find cars that are reasoably close to me where I can presumabely drive the car home? Ferrarimarket letter doesn't let me see the classifieds or price index, hemmings is way overprices, and I hate dealers? Where do I go to find my Ferrari?
