Put a JL Audio W7 12 in the trunk. 2 Zapco 360's, Focal Utopia comps (or, if you can afford it Rainbow Reference comps) Zapco EQ, and any high end Alpine head unit *though I use a Clarion If you are interested in sound quality above all else, stay away from MP3's. While they DO sound "good" they just don't have the same quality of a cd. |

Volume 35? Do Euro's have different sound systems? I like loud rock and roll music... have a fairly expensive home theater... but on my Euro 360, 20 is plenty loud and 28 is blaring... at 35 my ears would be bleeding. I want to still be able to hear that sweet Ferrari engine sing when I am 50. Brian

Tako, I have a custom stereo in my 360....Im in Portugal at the moment so I cant post any pics, but will be home next Thursday.....I can send you some photos if you like.....There are a couple of photos I posted a while back relating to the ESCORT SR-1 radar detector....you can actually see the way the cd changer was trimmed in leather and mounted. FYI there is quite a lot of room behind the stock speaker location in the doors....you can install a substantially bigger speaker behind the grill...I think its about a 5 inch grill, and I have a 6.5 inch speaker behind it (depth was the limiting factor).....I went for a pair of custom made UK speakers (UK & US still make the best speakers in the world) and I have an ADS anniversary amp installed (along with sat nav) under a false floor in the trunk (trunk now 2.5 inches shallower)......Also everything was designed to be removable....so that I could return the car to stock if I ever sold it (not likely)....The system sounds superb....its not going to win a sound off competition....but it is extremely strong, is very smooth and plays lenny louder than you want to hear him....By the way, if you get the right speakers in the door & have them crossed-over correctly, you wont need a seperate sub...(I like my base strong and tight)I find that compromise subs can really make the low end sound like mud.... |

Tako: This is the subwoofer and the amplifier which was installed in the trunk and was removable. Unfortunately I did not have any pic of the interior with the speakers and the radio. |

Speakers on my 360 is ok to play 70's R&B since the bottom is not that thick, however, but it gets worse and worse as I play much thicker rock sound. For example, I have no problem playing Stevie Wonder with voulume 38 but once I change it to latest Lenny Kravitz album, I can not stand it. Sound distorts and high frequency is almost nothing............ No way to play hard rock music with OK sound........ |

Try Reus at reusaudio.com. They make custom systems for Porsche, Ferrari and Mercedes. They fly out to you and custom make everything to look stock. I have heard the system in a Porsche and would assume the Ferrari system is similar. The system is pricey at about $5,000-$6,000 but one of the best I've heard. |

Ferrai now offers an upgrade for the sound on the 360 i don't really know how good it is? You can also try McIntosh they install a system desinged for the 360 and they fly down to istall it costs around $6,000. The good thing about McIntosh system is that they don't need to drill any holes in your interior. My car just went into production so i have been researching on better sound system for 360. If anyone gets any more info on it let me know. |

Music is my life.... I usually turn it down when I can drive it smoothly without many stops but I turn it up on slow busy streets such as El Camino or Lawrence because other people bugs me..... Now the sound distorts even at small volume, which is only half of what I want. I think it's speakers. I need to improve that... Anyway, Thank everyone for advices!! |

Willis: I like to listen to music sometimes and the 4 inch 15 watt Italian speakers that came in the 550 are a joke. |

You guys use the stereo in you Ferraris often? I hardly ever use mine. I'd use it to check traffic then turn it right off. |

I've had Precision Car Stereo on El Camino in Mountain View do systems on my F550, Porsche 911, Lexus SUV and F150 truck. I've seen what they've done on several 360's and Lambo's too. They do great custom work but they always take longer than quoted. Small annoyance for good quality work though. Call Mike at 650-917-9121. |

Call my guy Matt at 415-823-2190, he'll prolly come out to you and he's a great little Italian who loves to work on Italian cars. Just tell him you know me. In addition to building incredible systems, he also sorts out electrical gremlins from older cars as well. -Ben |
