I have owned 4 Maseratis. 2 Biturbos and 2 Series III Quattroportes. Only the 84 Biturbo was a piece of utter garbage. The 87 Biturbo Si was a blast! It was remarkably fast. The 4-portes were among the most reliable cars I have owned. As a matter of fact, I am in negotiations now to aquire another Quattroporte. I love them that much. The initial Biturbos were junk, but don't forget about the Bora, Ghibli, Mistral, A6G series and many, many other facinating cars that Maserati made. |

The new Maserati,,,,,It's not a Ferrari but with 400 hp and F1 shifter for around 100k, I say place your order and have something new for people to talk about.. Keep in mind, the 456 is a v12 (expensive to maintain) and you can get a 95 for more than 100k |

I personally would wait until I heard more owner reports on the Maserati. Especially on reliability, etc. If you can wait a bit longer until any wait lists are emptied, you might save money on a new Maserati. |

This is the story :I am in the market for a GT 2+2 of course the 456M GTA was my first choice. Since the prices are still holding up in the 170k range for a clean 2 years old with 5000 mi.I am wondering if I am not better off waiting for September and get a brand new Maserati Coupe with the F1 type transmission and that brand new leather smell for around 100K ? I know they got to be 2 totally different cars but maybe someone can see my point and advise. |
