the key to mine is by itself..with no other keyes attatched to it.. im thinking that once i have kids and they get really old like 12+, that i will end up keeping the f keys in a safe inside my office? sounds good..sound paranoid? |

Another reason not mentioned in the thread below is weight distribution. When the key is in the ignition, the stress on the ingition key hole (casued from the weight of the other keys on the keychain) is greatly reduced thanks to the hinge. This is due to the key not sticking out very much when hinged. |

I have asked around and noone seems to know why the ignition key is hinges. Anyone in this forum know? |
