Jason, Replies here seem similar to (your?) post on pistonheads. No-one seems to have mentioned TrakBak, operated by Siemens and fitted to both my cars. Costs ca. 150 per annum and certainly works. When the siren went on the 456, the way I knew it wasn't deactivating was that within 2 mins there were phone calls to my house, mobile, wifes mobile and father in laws house. GPS/GSM? Haven't a clue but can dig out the papers if you haven't already ruled it out. Cheers Kevin PS Manu, you are shameless :o) Did you get my email? |

I hate to say it Ross, but 465 for a GPS system sounds just about OK. I didn't know Skynet had gone bust... Unbelievable. I agree with you that you DO need a GPS system but they are ALL leagues more expensive than the standard one. Manu P.S. Seeing as you're based in the UK, are any of your Ferraris sitting on aftermarket Sports exhausts? Loads of Ferrari owners have been complaining that they're Ferraris don't deliver the aural goods on standards systems. So I've decided to supply them myself. I've been speaking to other UK Ferrarichaters who want to volunteer for trial fittings to help us get off the ground. Send me an email and I'll give you a call if you'd like to try/buy one! |

i just found out that the tracker i had installed on my 512tr is no longer viable because the company who installed it (skynet) has gone bust ! great ! so now i need to get another one installed and the prices are staggering. the cheapest is tracker 'receive' for 269 and 99/yr, but this is not gsm; the cheapest gps/gsm system is from rac trackstar at 465 and 120/yr. does anybody have any other cheaper system to suggest?
