I doubt much of anything will effect the value of a 308 at the moment. They seem to bring between $20,000 for a marginal one to $30,000 for a perfect one. Best thing you can do is buy the best one for the money and do whatever you want to it and enjoy it. If you are looking at how much you will loose on it then you are missing the point in owning a Ferrari. I Bought mine for $20,000 and put another $20,000 into it to make it a $30,000 car. Wise investment? Hell no! Fun? You bet.

My profile has my rosso corsa 308 in it. It was originally rosso corsa and was repainted by a PO same color. I didn't really care about it being original paint, but I like that it is the original color.

If you do a color change to red on a none red car, I dont think it will effect the resale value if its done very well. That said, a properly done color change paint job will cost you a bundle. Its a ton more work to paint everywhere and remove all the glass ect. You should expect $6000 to $10,000.

So.... does not seem to make any sense. You pay $25K for a nice 308. You spend $8K on a color change. When your ready to sell, you get $25K. Why not just find a red one to start with.

I think the rosa corsa is the dark red or blood red. That is a beautiful color..
A bad paint job or a unwanted color affects the resale value, never a new paint job..Make sure you use a excellent painter and you may spend anywhere from $3000 - $5000 for a perfect show quaility paint (depends on what part of the U.S. your from)

hard to say - changing colors normally will not enhance the value. prob better off not changing and finding one with the right color. You spend 5-10k on a new paint job changing the color you will not recover any of it whereas a new paint job the oringal color will provide a little return

Does this hurt the re-sale value without the original paint or does it just stay the same? About how much would it cost say a 3*8 to be painted rosa corsa? I am asking because if I do infact find a 3*8 when the time comes and is a perfect car, but do not want that particular color, would it hurt to paint it (re-sale)?
