Buy a 328, 348 or 355 now to enjoy and get on the list for the 360 replacement. Hopefully Ferrari will correct the error with the 360 front end treatment and bring back the egg crate grill to the V8 Dino line.

Could you imagine what it could have been like to have ordered a 360 spyder 4-5 yrs ago and not even knowing what it would look like..There were rumors of this car being better than the F355. "WHAT, ARE THEY CRAZY"
Even if you were driving a diablo, you wanted that 360 when it came out..
How do you think the first ten people to took delivery of their 360 spyder felt. "Nobody has this car but me" (each of them felt that way)
You have that opportunity right now..
Those who didn't order their cars 4yrs ago are paying $250000-$270000 to own it now...(Ed)
Based on this trend, I would order 2 of those replacement cars now..When they are in, sell one double the price and you get a Brand new Ferrari for free

It just might work...............

I ordered a new Triumph Bonneville Motorcycle as soon as they announced the re-introduction as I was sure it would be just what I wanted by their description and would replace the one I had many years ago. When they came out I could not believe how badly it looked as compared to the way it should have and turned it down. Someone else was glad I did, but the fact that it was not what it should have been and what I wanted after waiting so long was a big disappointment.

It is very unlikely that Ferrari will role out the 360 replacement in both Berlinetta and Spyder versions the first year. So, unless you don't want a spyder, you will have plenty of time to make a decision on what to buy.

I agree with Ed though, it's hard to make a decision on something you haven't even seen. Be patient, stay in line, and when your time comes buy what your heart tells you. And in the mean time don't forget to enjoy your 328!!!

Boy, you have more paitence than I do. When I want something, I want it now. My taste may change a dozen times in two years.

I'd buy a used Ferrari from the dealer now and enjoy it. Then I'd stay on the list and keep watch on my position and potential delivery date. There's no need to make a decision yet. Stay friendly with the dealer (you're a customer now) and try to keep your options open. Personally, I'd opt for the 360 replacement.

This scenario is way down the road, but I'm curious to get your thoughts.

I'm in line for a 360 spider, but I'm very high on the list so delivery won't take place until late 2003 or 2004. At that same time, I'm sure we'll start to hear rumors/details regarding the 360 replacement. Would you get the current 360 which likely be defect free 4 years into its production run or risk getting the new model which undeniably will be faster, but you might have first year production bug problems, not to mention you will have no clue what the styling will be. I know Pinanfarina doesn't make too many styling mistakes, but it might not be as attactive at the 360 spider.

Thanks,
Phil
