No - the guy was <is> just a nut. He didn't own any Ferrari when he built this one. However, his fantastic modeling skills have not gone unnoticed, and he is currently enjoying a new career building exclusive models for people with way too much money as well as consulting for one of the major big-money car model companies (like minichamps, although which specific company I can't remember). There's a lot more information about the guy and what he is doing now on some car model web pages. |

If I remember correctly he actually has a real one, and built this one as he was restoring the real thing, using it for an example. |

This sure is amazing, but i fail to see the utility in a car that is too small for anyone to drive. If it was remote controlled i would see some of a purpose though. I personally could think of a better way to spend 20,000hrs of my life. Working so i could own a real one is a thought. |
