James,

I envy you greatly, give me some details of what is inside that place. It sure is the talk of the town, I know when relatives visit from out of town, we always take them past it. Would love to hear what Freddy has!

Regards,

Ryan

I have been in that 30 million dollar house,it's CRAZY!!!!!!.

I sell Alfred Balms son, Roger, clothes and I had to go over one day to drop some stuff off. He invited me in and took me for a tour. I heard a rumour that Roger once owned a 355, but who knows for sure.

There is a guy down the street from me in Woodbine with a 3 car garage and one of them has a hydro lift. He currently owns a Z06, Red 512 TR, an old yellow Ferrari (looks like a 275) and a yellow 360. I think he used to own all the Moxies restaurants.

PS.

I saw a Black 2003 Mercedes SL!! On Elbow before that long-ass playground zone yesterday afternoon. What an awesome car, looked like a CL class at first.

James,

I do live in Pumphill, but have never seen a 355! I have seen Prowlers, a Testarossa, 400i and a Bentley. Also as far as I know, Alfred Balm (The 30 mil house) does not own any exotics, so I wonder who would have one?? I would love to know where those cars are housed..

Ryan,

The AMG I raced was white. I have also seen a yellow one and a black one around town. You live in Pumphill?? cool I used to live there too, but now live in Woodbine.

That yellow 348 belongs to a guy named Don. He used to own The Ferrari Gallary on Mcleod Trail, which was a Ferrari toy model shop.

The yellow Diablo is owned a guy named Blaine, but my friend, Kulu the car broker now has the car and is trying to sell it for him.

If you live in Pumphill, you must have seen all the Ferrari 355's in there over the years, as that is where Kulu lives and he used to keep them at his house.

Just wait till you see the F40 drving around, thats a real show stopper.

James,

Question.. Was it white? I see it running around the city all the time.. Looks like fun. I still like the CL55 and S55 (have both here in Pumphill) great looking cars. Speaking of sightings I saw a fly yellow 348 on 17th today. Also, a pleasent surprise in Calgary was a yellow Diablo, no wing.. Possibly a '92 2wd.. Still a show stopper!

speaking of street racing.....

Today, I was drving my 1992 LX Mustang 5.0, with an exhaust and got SMOKED by one of those little 2 door benzs (SLK 32 AMG). Man, that is one quick little car. If you took off the AMG badges, you would have one sleeper car for sure.

Yeah, alot of idiots think that because they pass a car thet beat it in a race. One could blow by a viper or a 360 that is in the right lane and they will post something like "Oh man, he floored it but he was no match for my civic with a K&N and an exhaust"

Tim, I agree, and I am sure as heck not lobbying for Ferrari chat to have one. However, they can be entertaining. :-)

Mitchell, those Kill sections totally drop the respect level of a forum down a notch.
Sorry for not posting the results thread, i seem to have forgot.
Jim, i dont consider even a stock 3000GT VR4 a ricer, i also dont consider the supra (newer), 300ZX, NSX, etc ricers, although there are those who "rice them out" with non-functional wings and body kits, and stupid paint schemes (i.e. the fast and the furious).

You guys should check out some of the banter that goes on at WWW.Supercars.net. I lurk there once in a while for a laugh and it's amazing how juvenile it gets there.

I think most of the posts are done in good fun. Not serious, but just joking around at work. I "troll" the corvette forums quite a lot as there is ample entertainment available for my long day on that web site. Nothing I post there should be taken as serious nor does it in any way reflect my personality in real life.

As for the funny signature pictures, well that's just part of the fun. Some of you might be a little too old to remember fun.... ;)

~Mitchell, tongue firmly in cheek.

I find it amusing that these vette guys all think they have the fastest cars. The Ferrari guys here for the most part seem to just accept that there are plenty of cars that can smoke us, but that's not why we own Ferraris. After seeing that 3000GT and old Supra at Norwoods, I'll never mess w/ a "ricer".

If you poll the ages of the posters on the various car sites, im almost 100% positive that this site would have a higher average age. Though age may or may not have anything to do with the "immaturity" of posts on forums.

I can tell you that if this forum was anything at all related to the Vette forum, or any crappy car site, I would not be a visitor here. I like this site because there are no dumb pictures, signatures and crap like that. And no "Kills" forum.

I didn't stay long, but I think all those dorky pictures would have to contribute to the immaturity. Maybe they just take some getting used to, but I was embarrassed FOR the goofballs in those pictures.

Thank God this forum doesn't have all that. (yet?)

There are probably 10 times the number of people on the Corvrtte Chat site and I doubt that there is any difference in the proportions of immaturity. There is just a bigger target. Everyone on the Vette site as well as Ferrari chat are not necessarily owners either.

I used to post on the corvetteforum when I had my 2000 C5, and I can say for certain that there were plenty of users whos level of maturity was sub-par. Although the flipside is that there were plenty of nice people willing to offer advice with the cars and help in any way they could. I guess the price for admission allows some people who dont know better to before speak before they think.
