Whoever designed that body did one hell of a job, it looks great.

Ken, that's a Bizzarrini street car. If memory serves me correctly it was called a 3500 Strada. May be wrong there. They were powered by Chevy small blocks.

It's hard to believe anyone would pay several million for that car. Sure, it's very attractive, but it was a total bust as a race car. No significant victories to my knowledge, and I was waist deep into racing at the time. What makes it worth that amount? Rarity? Italian heritage? Dunno.

Bruce:

My previous post (3 down from yours) states that the car is worth several million dollars. I seem to recall reading that the owner paid $1.2M for it, but the car is worth much more and that he has turn down offers for several times what he has paid for it. There was an article several months ago in European Car magazine that did a very nice write up of the car. Take care.

Great pictures Ken. I notice there is a Bizzarrini street car behind the sports racer. That one should have a small block Chevy in it.

The car in question is 1 of 2 1967 Bizzarrini P538. It is powered by a Lamborghini V-12 with 6 dual webbers and is rated 420 hp @ 8300 RPM. The car is worth several million dollars. To bad the car could not go into gear (hence the people pushing it to its resting place). I can assure everyone that the car sounds absolutely wonderful. In hindsight, I wish that I had taken a picture of the engine. There was just too much to see and do at this show. Next year I am going to make a point to take at least 200 pictures and document the show much better. This is one of the few shows that I have attended where people ignored my 308 because it was not of interest. At least I was parked right next to the Bizzarrini for the entire show. I hope that everyone enjoys the pictures.

Damn, I miss all the good stuff!!!

This looks like it was an incredible show. I'm sorry I missed it. For those of you who went, I hope you fully appreciate the magnitude of your good fortune!

And yes, I did notice both the 4 cam and the short nose 275.
