I'd drive the wheels off of it. For the first couple of months I would most likely drive it daily. After the "new" eased up I would move it to weekend duty. One thing is for sure, It (and ANY Ferrari I will ever own) will be driven a great deal. For a million+ I'm using it. Otherwise, why not save the money and just stare at someone else's always parked car. Better yet just get a big blown-up picture and paste it on your garage wall and stare at it. These cars are made to drive. |

Joe, you're correct. Unfortunately that Enzo as well as most of them I suspect will be garage queens and likely never get driven more than a couple of hundred (if that much) miles a year. In ten years you will again see it for sale with 1800 miles. It's sad but true that most of the people who have the money to buy such a car are not really car enthusiast but merely trophy buyers. Like having a beautiful wife that you never make love to...so sad... |

I just wanted to update information on the Enzo at FoA. It is actually the first one delivered several months ago that has returned for service. While there, the owner aksed for it to be displayed on the showroom floor, for all to see its in glory. I truely appreciate his generosity. I am lucky to have my office so close to FoA. I have been up there several times to look at the car, and if I had a million dollars laying around, you better believe I would by the car. Can one put a price tag on ultra exclusive, highly exotic, drivable road car? I can. It starts at mil. and has the name Enzo. Sure one could take a race car and make it street legal, but it would not be the same. Everyone knows what a Ferrari is, and that is one of the reasons you bought your car in the first place. Because if nothig else, a Ferrari is what driving all about, not being see. That is what Bentley's are for with 20" spinners. |

I think I may buy it. It would be a good winter-work car. |

First I wanna say hi to all. Second a mil for an Enzo. I am not a math major but that sounds like alot of zeros. 550/575 great cars no doubt. But it seems like a bad investment and if you are a car guy then you should know the Porsche 928 GTS ( what a car ) is the father of it. Not to mention spend 25K and it will kick some 550/575 ass. Sorry but it's true. As far as the 360 I like it but I don't think it has the looks of a 355. I do wish my 355 had the performance of a 360 or of a 575. In real life driving, giving some traffic I don't think the difference would be noticeble. But it is a never car and a better car I am sure. Now as far as the M cars, add some Dinan components and you have a great car that you can enjoy even right after you have been in a Ferrari and kick some ass. BMW M Roadster dinan stage3 will just about keep up with a 355. 355 will still be ahaed but a 348 has tried and the little M beat it everytime. But it will never be a ferrari. And one last thing as far as a convertable is concerned I will have to say the 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster is the best out there. Not alot of performance but what a car. Again a car that you would have to spend some cash to get the performance but it is my favorite convertable anyways. Overall I'll say the 355 is the best car out there. Performance , handling, looks, value it has everything. And if money is no object spend 35k on it get the twin turbo pack from Koenig then even on the open raod the 575 will dissapeir in your mirror. I wish I could. |

I'm suprised how tall an Enzo is. It's the same height as a 308. I personally don't care for the area behind the side windows. It's too vertical or something. I guess it's just not an F40, which is the ultimate Dino lovin' badasssonofabitch. Frank - The 550/575 is by far my favorite car since the 275GTB4 and the Daytona. I think it's the hood scoop that really does it for me. Gerrr. Well maybe it's the sound too. The Maranello is the bad boy for those who know cars. One word - TORQUE!!! Robert - If we had a low cost track nearby, I would have my eyes on a 355 instead of a 550. I agree that the 360 is more exotic looking and has grown up a whole bunch in daily usability (as have Lambos). Like Lambos, a 360 is more of a "pull over & change the speed limit sign with spray paint kinda car". A 360 would more easily impress someone who doesn't understand M Power, or AMG, and who doesn't know the difference between an Austin and an Aston (not that I don't have the upmost respect for the car and it's owners like you, who do know cars). I agree with you that the 360 definitly has the shock value and the performace to back it up. Vince - I heard you were considering a Vanquish a few years back. What is it about your Maranello that puts it over-the-top? |

John, I'm guessing that the reason the 360 is so popular is because of its more exotic looks, more exotic mid engine layout, higher revving and racier character, and that it embodies high tech lightweight constuction that has not yet trickled into the mainstream v12 cars. In addition, even the 360 has too much performance for the street. By the way, I was at FOA yesterday to view the Enzo. Although it certainly is radical, am I the only one who thinks that the car is physically way too big? Why does it need to be so bulky? It makes even a Maranello seem small. |

John, I'm perplexed as to why the 360 and 550 values tend to level off after a few years in the used car market ? My guess would be that the average new younger Ferrari buyer now doesn't remember the days of Ferrari sports car dominance with its front engine V12 cars. They remember the days of MagnumPI with the mid engined Dino V8. So when they look to buy a Ferrari they buy a mid engined V8 360 which is like what they remember. Some say it is for the track performance of the 360, but from what I've read the 550 and especially the 575M is faster around most tracks than the 360. And, the 550/575 is a lot more comfortable and user friendly to drive on public roads which is where most Ferraris are driven most of the time anyway. Plus the 550/575 body lines are GORGEOUS ! In the long haul, I still believe the 550/575 series will be worth more . Look at the Daytona v.246 or 365GTC4 v. 308 comparison. They were being sold at the same time for around the same prices but which is worth more now ? If someone gave me a new 360 I would promply sell it and buy a used 550 with the money. I'm glad of this trend though as my next Ferrari purchase will be a 550 or 575m. |

I saw the sticker on that other Enzo ($675Kish). The F50s are all asking $700K-$750K. What was MSRP on those? Have they increased in value or does this have something to do with the lease deal? It is probably good for the rest of us that there are folks willing to overpay for each new model. I would guess that it keeps the value on older models up a bit. What do y'all think? While I'm asking questions, what is up with the 12cyl cars costing aprox $80K-$100K more than the MSRP on 8cyl cars? Yet, 3 years later, they are worth the same (and sometimes less in the case of the 456). Doesn't everyone else think the 550 is the cat's meow? Or is it just me? |

I understand that the car is at FOA on consignment and the owner wants over $1mil for it ! While it is a great car no doubt, IMHO it's not even worth the MSRP Ferrari has on the sticker moreless twice the MSRP. As with the ones that paid over MSRP for F40s, 360 Spiders and others; a fool and his money are soon departed. |

I bet Vince a/k/a Manatee is salivating about that Enzo. He's been wanting one since he first heard they were coming out. |

The second Enzo has arrived at Ferrari of Atlanta. The first one arrived several months ago, and was not there very long. From what I understand, this one will be here for a while. Unfortunaly for me, I am out of town today and had to here this from a buddy who as we speak is drooling on the car. Tomorrow will be sent sitting on the red couch eating my lunch and enjoying one of the greatest cars Ferrari has ever produced. |
