There is a euro M6 in Hickory, NC at Mich's Foreign Car Sales. Car was owned by an enthusiast, low mileage...it's a beast. If you're interested email me @ [email protected]

John, call me at work on Monday. I know a guy that has two for sale. One has around 35k miles and the other one only around 5k miles. They are both great looking and well cared for.

Thanks for the warning, Jeff. My uncle said the same thing. He is currently restoring a 635CSI. He said the M parts are twice the money. So far, the lowest milage one I've found has 70K miles.

Clarifications:

1. I don't know yet how my relationship with the FCA will be affected yet. Anyone interested in being the GA Chapter President? It's really not a bid deal.

2. I don't know how quickly this will all happen. Right now I plan to attend ICD.

3. When I get my next Ferrari, it will not greatly affect my daily driver. I really want a 540 or a M5. I'm setteling on a M6 for now so Natalie can get a new Tahoe.

4. Why the importance of the new Tahoe: Our family has two vacation homes on the Gulf. Most of our traveling is at night and the only other life we see for the last 2 hours of driving are deer. A breakdown would be disasterous with no mechanics within 80 miles, no cell coverage and a screaming child. And, all our crap won't fit in a 8 year old Explorer anymore (with transmission problems for the third time).

5. What I will not be doing is giving the Ferrari away. We are prepard to wait 'till spring to get the price we feel the car deserves to bring.

Find a good one if you can, PPI probably VERY important with this.

I had a friend who bought and did do a PPI on an M6.
It became a money pit as parts for the 6 was up there. The newer Beemers have gotten a bit more realistic, but the older series is costly. My friend said he felt like a sailor....the day you buy yada yada the day you sell.

He never did get what he wanted when he sold, and it took a long while to sell it.

But he did buy a 2002 M3

Well, it's a long story. First of all, now that we have a child, the Ferrari never gets used. Second, the Ferrari is a bone of contention between my wife & I (especially since it drags me away from her & child & she never gets to ride). It does look real good in the garage though. But that's where it sits. I can't drive the Ferrari to work, which is a 70 mile trip each day visiting construction sites (trust me, I can't). My daily beater 300E just doesn't do it for me anymore. So then there is the wife's car. She needs a new one. Her's is a '95 and we need something a bit more dependable for trips. We also want to buy a camper to tow. Covenants require the camper to be in the garage where the Ferrari sits. We just can't afford for me to own a car I can't use right now (my business is only 10 months old). If I had had a 308, or a job closer to home, things may have been different. When things take off and I can get a 3-car garage, I'll get a 355, 360 or 550 for sure. I'm not out of the game for good. I have always been a Ferrari man, and always will be. Honestly, I thought real hard about the M6 choice. I'd rather trade for a 456, but, they are too expensive.

Yup. I'm going to sell the 328 (see profile) and buy an old M6. Anyone know where I can find one?

Frank - Do you think the guy at your church would consider parting with one of his M6s?

I'll buy a 550 as soon as the price is just a bit lower.
