Richard, I noticed in the Ferrari Market Letter that Amerispec has new/unused OEM Boxer exhaust systems for sale from cars they converted back in the 80s. If you still want to get your car "concours" ready an OEM exhaust is a must. Let me know if you decide to buy them as I may want to buy your Tubi system when you remove it from your car.

Frank,

I drove my 355 up there and parked in the P...P...P...Porsche corral. Was in the hospitality tent there all day but drove through the infield and was right behind the Podium in it when the winning Lm Audi burned rubber coming in to Victory Lane. Great race - let's get more organized next year.

Bill, I did drive through the infield several times and watch the race from every corner. I also spent a couple of hours in the vender area looking around.

Well, Frank, it's no wonder you didn't see anyone. You have to get out of that airconditioned cocoon and walk around!

Well, Frank, if you have to be there all day, you might as well be there in style! :-) That a/c feels great in the summer.

Vince, I drove my M5. I was at the Road Atlanta Hospitality pavilion at turn one and it was unbelievable ! Leather seating, a/c, closed circuit TV, breakfast(eggs, bacon, the works), lunch(BBQ and fixings), dinner(prime rib, salad, dessert), snacks(finger food), beer, wine and soft drinks all included, plus paddock parking and a free gift every day.

I was there, but I was driving a Honda Odyssey. Only saw one Testarossa, oh yeah, and a bunch of Maranellos and 360s, but they were on the track kicking butt.

Frank - Did you take the Boxer? Cool if you did. Maybe there was another area the cars were parked. If I had gone I wouldn't have taken mine.

A couple of my buddies took Corvettes and had a great time hanging with the Corvette team at some special parking area. C5R driver Johnny O'Connell is a local guy and fun to be around.

I was at the Road Atlanta hospitality tent on Saturday from around 11am to around 7pm and only saw two Ferraris, a 308 and a TR. Where was everyone ?

Frank- just wanted to get your gander up!
Thanks for the name today- I will call him tomorrow. Hope we can hook up Sat.

John - I sold the Dino to Tony Zuccarino who is enyoying it it San Diego. I found the Boxer and the 355 on Ebay. Frank Parker convinced me I would love the Boxer and he was right. I have new Radial TA's and I have not found the confidence yet in the twisties I had in the Dino or I have in the 355. I put new P-zero's on the 355 and will break them in before I attempt anything. With the Tubi headers and exhausts on the Boxer it is a sensory overload.

Richard - I thought you disappeared. Two questions:
1. What happened to the Dino?
2. When did you get the other Ferraris?

Richard, don't be so cocky. Remember,a few years ago I bought a Ferrari from the same dealership that your Boxer came from only to later find out that all the service they promised and documented had been done by them on the car had not in fact been done. Six months and several threating letters later I was able to negotiate a settlement with them to allow me to pay to have the work done on the car. Time will tell.

I can go now. I was wondering if there will be a Ferrari Paddock? What do I take - the 355 or the Boxer? (Frank if you go I don't want to show you up!!!) Also do you have to go by FOA to pick up the coupons or can somebody grab a handful and we hook up??
Does anyone have infield passes?

I'll be there, but I'm leaving the 365 at home. Its prepped for Roebling Road and I don't want to drive it over and back this weekend if I'm going to track it at the end of the month.

I wasn't going to go, but now that I found out FOA has coupons for $20 off, I may go Saturday.

Perhaps we should try to get together at the track. Unless someone has a better idea, e-mail me your cell # if you want to meet up and I'll e-mail mine back. Do it by Tuesday because I'm driving down either Wednesday or Thursday. I have a meeting in Peachtree City Friday morning, then on to the track.

Yeah I just got a couple of the $20 off coupons at FoA last night. My GOD they have some wonderful cars there.

Anyway, a new development, I might be going to New York to get this perfect 84 Mondial Cabriolet for my dad. Point is, I might not be at Petit Le Mans.

Any F-Chatters planning on attending the Petit LeMans? I'll be there Friday and Saturday.
