1995 model with Gerhard Berger. The ugly black stripes were actually used for races with a tobacco ban. |

Jack, very interesting. Do you know, whether a car in this 'paint job' (no paint at all, just carbon fibre) ever hit the test track? I never saw a picture of it like this. And who is that guy sitting on the side pod?

To add to the overwhelming response to the CARS... here's a scarce one. It is one of 6 that were handmade by Cavallo Scrimante. It is based on a Paul Models Art 1/18 and was modified to be the F399 Fiorano Test Car. It was intended to be come a much larger series than just 6 pcs but a couple of weeks after the first 6 were completed, PMA issued the series as "mass production" thus killing off this project. Paul, I think I bought it at a local liquor store in Chicago. Really nothing too special. Several years ago though. |

Whoa, what an overwhelming response...nott. Alas, so I'll post my next shot then: On the right side the 2000 car with Rubens at the wheel. On the left side the 1999 car with Mika Salo on the wheel. He was sitting in for MS, after he broke his leg at Silverstone. Mika was the moral winner of the German GP for he braked for Irvine (probably something he regrets now as it would have been his only chance to ever win a GP). Again both cars have been upgraded with the Marlboro stickers. So, now let me see your F1 cars! Even if they're not 1/18...

Let's see some of your F1 Ferraris! To get us started here a couple from my collection: It is the 2002 car on the right with Burti (was Ferrari's test pilot last year) and the 2001 car with Fabrizio Giovanardi (tested the 2001 car in Vairano) on the left. The Burti helmet was taken from a 2001 Prost car, the Giovanardi helmet I had to paint myself based on photographs. Both cars have been updated with the Marlboro stickers. I can't stand those child proof white patches. |
