It be even more interesting to know if the Yellow version of this model has the same S/N plate (which I guess it would - to pricey to print up another S/N plate - and if it does, is 18893 in real life a red car or a yellow one?). |

Hi Peter, I don't track the 308s so, sorry, but I don't have anything interesting to add regarding 18893. Still, I think it's very cool that they copied an actual s/n plate right down to the correct engine and chassis types as well as the s/n itself! VERY cool! |

Since getting my model last month, I've been amazed at the detail of it. So much so, that I noticed there were numbers printed on the Serial Number plate in the engine bay. I had to find out whether it was real, or just scribble... Using my Dad's special lenses and prisms, I crudely rig'ed-up my digicam to take pictures of the plate. Here it is: I checked with my copy of Hilary Raab Jr.'s Serial Number book and it checks out okay: 18893, 1975 Euro Fibreglass 308 GTB. Now, I expect Wayne to give a full report on the car and Jack Habits probably has info on it too in his database... |
