Worse than a profiteer, I think the link was to a Trojan Horse virus or a non G-rated site. That is why the fake Ebay link.

I have had people contact me about models, but they just ask, no fake link.

Smart move. Thanks for the heads up. This is a huge scam/fraud that has gotten some big press lately. Ebay tends to be an easy target but other companies have been "used" in these scams as well. It's amazing how low some people will stoop to make an extra buck...

All,
I lost an auction for a 1/18 Ferrari model on Ebay. One day later, i recieved an email that said, "I saw you lost the auction on the 1/18 Ferrari 250 GTO. Here is a link to another one for $34. Hope you dont mind."

The link looks like an Ebay link, but if you look closely, it has the word Ebay, but does not go to the real Ebay site or listing. After looking at the real Ebay, I saw there was no such auction and deleted the email without trying the link.
