Bare metal would be fine. Give you a chance to paint it better than the lackluster factory effort. :-)

Just be sure you don't use Draino ! While it will remove all scratches and swirl marks, I don't like the bare metal look it leaves behind.

greg's very active on one of the 996TT boards i frequent.

i have a bunch of the zaino products and they certainly don't stink, but i tend to agree with greg that they don't quite live up to their marketing hype.

doody.

Steve,

This is a very interesting product. I'll check it out and try it on another car first. Can Protect All remove scratches and swirl marks?

I've been using Griot's Garage products on my 360 and it's the only thing that could eliminate swirl marks with little effort. Griot's Best of Show Wax last quite a while even through the rain and multiple washings.

I have found something great for waxing the car...Better then Zaino...why do I say this..because I was turned onto this product on the Prowler web site....Guys compared it to Zaino and love it...I tried it on all my cars including my 360 and was very impressed..Wipe it on and wipe it off...no white powder and no blotches...The shine is great...It's call Protectall and can be bought at RV Centers...they have a website that can help you find a location.

Scott, I am also interested in the answer to this question. I have purchased the Zaino products and have been waiting for a nice weekend to detail my car. Let me know what you find out from them. Tom

OK--New Ferrari, wanna protect the paint, and I have reviewed (I think) all of the archives, but I have a new question. Is Zaino compatible with standard carnuba based waxes? Or, asked another way, if I spend a weekend applying Zaino, and then later get my car professionally detailed, do I need to loan the detailer my Zaino products, or can they use whatever. I'm worried because I know Zaino isn't really a wax. I will ask the same question from the folks at Zaino's, but wanted an independent opinion(s). Thanks.
