I used to have a vibrating noise on my 360 with the Tubi, and after not being able to find anything (I though it was a loose bolt too) and taking it to the dealer, they found that the little metal bracket and separates the two Tubi tips and holds them in place had cracked. This caused the tips to vibrate and hence make the vibration noise. I dont know if the 355 Tubi is built the same way, but it can happen. The crack was practically microscopic and I dont know how the dealer mechanics found it. I had a completely new bracket soldered on at my friend's machine shop and have had no problems since. I hope this helps. Ernesto |

I can't help you with the 'springs' issue (perhaps its an electronic failure regarding the adaptive damping mechanism......hmmm, what happens in 'sport' mode......) but I will say that a lot of owners on this website have moaned about their Tubis resonating at cruising rpm.... Also, my cousin reported that the F355 has brakes which could do with being upgraded (like him - you must be a total nutter). I think the factory upgrade from the challenge cars are from APracing. If you want the most powerful brakes in the world go to www.movit.de Manu |

My 97 355 F1 Berlinetta has been getting loads of use, in fact I've put 15000kms on the clock since November 2000. Unfortunately, the thing is now "rolling" in the corners quite heavily. I've now changed the shocks, bushes and drop links but it still rolls. I guess now I have to change the springs too but my questions is, are the Ferrari stock springs up to the job? It never goes on the track because, well, there is'nt one here! So are there good springs out there that work well with stock suspension on public roads? Also, I like many other 355 owners have a beautiful hand made Tubi slapped on the back. It makes the most irritating vibrating noise which my mechanics cannot seem to fix. They manage to make it quieter but after a while it's annoyingly loud again. Could this be the bypass valve? The deep bass resonance from the exhaust obviously tests the tightness of the screws but this is ridiculous. Does anyone have experience of this vibrating noise on theirs? As for the brakes, I keep getting fade, even on public roads (I drive VERY hard) and I've had few close calls. They've changed the brake fluid and pads but still, they're just not good enough. Should I upgrade the discs etc to something else?
