Frederick, the defect was that they did not cut the clips that attach to the back of the fender, by the wheel, properly. Hence no way to make it stay due to wrong interface between fender and spoiler.

I got my TRs carbra on Friday. Fit is not to the level of the speedlingerie, but it is not too bad. Then again neither is the price ($89 vs. $700 plus ). The speedligerie is definitely a better built, better shaped, piece of vinyl and felt, but I can definitely live with the carbra.

What kind of "defect"? I have a SpeedLingerie set on my 996tt and it is wonderful - hood, bumper, mirrors. They did make a mistake on the template as my car was an early one and has bumperettes and they missed that during the first construction. A week later a new one came. Perfect color match, perfect fit, easy to install. Absolutely delighted - the owner even called me a bit ago to see how I liked it after owning it for awhile. I have had the StonGuard as well and it is OK. You can't take it off though as you can with the SpeedLingerie and you can see it from a few feet away. SL sells the mirror bras individually by the way. I find the non-color coded Colgan, etc. bras to be just plain ugly. Had one for a Mondial t and never let the car be seen with it on in public - tried it once and put it in the trunk...UGLY.

If worst comes to worst, and I will be living by this in my travels in this TR, back roads, no interstates with multi 18 wheel traffic, and avoid the obvious much traveled path. I'll let you know what the carbra looks like. I just received my car cover from Covercraft, timely delivery, approx. 1 1/2 weeks, fits perfectly, comes with storage bag and lock. I'm impressed.

I also checked into the stodeguard stuff but could not find anybody in S. California to put it on. Does anybody have luck with stoneguard installation in Southern Cal.?
Jim, hopefully they decided to make more than just the one for me so that you can get yours on time. The speedlingerie one seemed well build but like I said there was a defect that prevented me from actually putting it on the car. Anyway, the more I thought about those $700.00 some dollars and that piece of vinyl the more discouraged I got. Anyway, I hope the carbras version is not too bad. They make very similar claims to those of speed lingerie so will see once I get it.

I purchased the carbra.com like you Arnaldo. I told them I had to have it by April 11, and was promiosed it by that time. I am glad you told me of your wait because I will stay on them every week. I will look into the stoneguard and get some more info on that. Thanks

Just had Stoneguard placed on front bumpers, 1/2 of hood, mirrors and wheel arches. Looks incredibly good. Total cost under $700. You can probably do just the mirrors for $100. Much better than any bra I have ever used.

I know speedlingerie.com sells them. I believe they are a couple of hundreds for the pair, if I'm not mistaken. Which bra do you have? I ordered the speed lingerie bra for my TR (~$700.00) but it came out with a defect and I returned it for a full refund. Then, I went ahead an ordered the carbras.com bra for the TR ($89.00) back in October and two days ago they finally called me saying that it was ready for shipment. I had completely forgotten about it. I am suppose to get it late this week so will see how it compares to the outrageously priced speed lingerie one.

Hello there, I am taking my 87TR for a nice long trip and have the cover, bra, and credit cards. Looking to get mirror covers to help paint not chip. Anyone have any idea where I can find. Thanks
