Another good place for 1:18 Hot Wheels www.adkinscollectibles.com They have a whole bunch of 1:64 stuff but they do have a 1:18 scale link. They have the 575M available for pre order and a few F355 variations such as the challengge and millenium editions. |

UT, Hot Wheels & Solido/Majorette are the only ones I can think of that made a F355 in 1/18. The UT is the best, followed close by the HW, then the Solido. HW did copy the UT version, just look at the screw placement on the chassis. HW also tends to use the F1 transmission versus the 6 speed in the UT's.I've put a small site together comparing a bunch of the different 1/18 manufacturers 1/18 link.In the pic, the UT is on the left, HW on the right. You really can't go wrong with either one. If you search around, you can usually find the UT versions for around $30. The black UT F355's are the rarest of the F355's.

I have two of the UT F355s...one Spider (Yellow/Black) and one Berlinetta (Black/Black). Botha re nice and there are even some variations between the two I have. UT upgraded their line while they were in production and the black one I have has a little better interior detail and recessed brakes discs with black Brembo brake Calipers with the Ferrari logo painted on them like a real car would have. There are other minor details that were changed...but both show the 1995 spec engine under the hood. Personally I think the UT are in a different class as far as quality go over the Hotwheels models. I don't know if Hotwheels bought the molds or what but as they are similar I still feel that the UT cars are a little better model for the money. |

I have a UT and a Hotwheels 355. I like the UT better, but both are nice. |

The cheapest price for the 355 1/18 is the Hot Wheels which sell for about $15-20 on e-bay. Wal-Mart also carries the Hot Wheels...but I don't know if they have Wal-Mart in Australia. Auto Art is also excellent as are UT. I have one of each, berlinetta, targa and spider. |

Guys (and girls) i'm a big collector of the Burago range on 1/18in ferrari model cars, but for some reason, i cannot and assuming have not made a model of the Ferrari 355. I have asked my dealer and he can't give me an answer. Does anyone know why Burago have not made a 1/18in die cast model of the Ferrari 355 ? |
