Scott - Yes its an anual event that DonnyBrooke motors puts on at their shop and then at Brainerd Internation Raceway each year. They have a big get together at the shop on Sunday before everyone heads up to the track for a day full of fun the following Monday. Next year I am going to make the track day, I felt the 348 just wasnt up to it this year (needs more power) and there is this other little problem I have called work! :P Anyway it would be great to see you at the event next year. I should still be on the board a year from now and when I hear about it I will post the dates. Look for me with the 348 and my new AutoX 914 that I am building!

John, is this an anual event? I'm up near Duluth and it would be great to check it out next year or next time they something like this down there in the cities.

Wanted to bump this thread back to the top and add a few more pictures of the day at DonnyBrooke. At the request of Andrew I have found some more of the NART from another friend I had at the event as well as some other interesting photos. Including one of Steve McQueens Lusso. I hope you all enjoy them.

Pat - If I would have know that it was your first time seeing a Ferrari I would have given you a ride in mine without a doubt. Next time we hook up I promise you a ride!

It was a awesome day. It was my first time actually seeing a Ferrari close up and the 1st time to actually sit in one (thanks again John). It was very overwhelming to see all those cars I usually only get to dream about. I do have more pics from the day so if anyone is interested in seeing a certain car just let me know and I will see what pics I have for that car.

Andrew - It was a day that I wont forget for a long time. Man even after seeing a few of these cars before when ever I see them I still feel like a little kid in a candy store!

Dave - The 355 wheels arent that expensive if you get them used or reconditioned. My car came with them but I had to replace the rear wheel because of a crack. From www.ferraripartsexchage.com the 355 wheels are like $600/per for the fronts and $800/per for the rear. From a Ferrari dealership its like $1000/$1400 for f/r. But to me I think it is worth it cause it looks damn good.

Patrick , thanks a lot for the pics , they are great.
John , thanks for all the info. Must have been a really special day..enjoying the sound of such sweet machineries ..! I agree with you, the GTB/4 looks terrific in that color . And seing a Nart spyder in the flesh must be a very unique experience .

Cheers.

Wow, great pics Pat, great quality and great subject matter. I just love that 275 and its condition looks superb.

Whilst I like to keep things standard where possible, the look of the 348 with 355 wheels is sorely tempting, now how much will it cost me to do that...hmmm.

Pat - the pictures are awesome!! You really captured how cool all the cars were. You did a hell of a job and thanks for sharing with everyone here on FChat. I hope that everyone loves the pictures.

Andrew - The 275GTB/4 is awesome, it was flown over from Europe a while back after having undergone a full restoration. The first time I saw the color of it I fell in love. I think it is a beautiful color to go with the lines of the car, the owner is just a great guy also which makes the car that much greater. He also has a pretty awesome 427 Cobra. The Nart is real from what I understand. I have never met the owner but a few of the guys I was talking to told me that it was the real deal. It was a pretty amazing car and WOW the sound of that 12 was just music to my ears. By far I think it was the most beautiful car in attendance today. God pictures dont even do it justice to see the lines on this baby...its something you cant forget if you love the old F-cars. The 348 was a series Special car that was dealer modified for the track. DonnyBrook motors has also done some more work to eek out a few more ponys and I was told the car is pushing around 400hp to the ground. But the fastest car at the whole Italian car gathering was by far the RUF Porsche CTR-2...talk about bad ass man 600hp, looked mean as hell standing still and had a completely awesome sound to it. I can only imagine what it would be like to drive.

Also not pictured and I dont know if Pat got a few pics of them were 2 Lambo Murias, both owned by the person with the red 360, 550, and TR pictured above. He also had a 365GTC/4, a Lusso, Daytona, and a really sweet Bond car Aston Martin DB4 I think. All in all it was an amazing day and I was shocked by the number of older F-cars in the great state of Minnesota. If you get a chance Pat and you have the pictures post some of the Daytona and the Lusso.

This past Sunday I had the pleasure of meeting another member and taking in some of Minnesota's finest in Ferrari. I met John Stecher and got to take a close look at his beautiful 348. Let me know if anyone would like to see more of these cars ( I have more pics of each car)
